Anyone gone over to the dark side? I’ve just started SUP foiling but I think prone foil looks more fun.

Anyone care to comment? Feedback? Opinion?

So no foilers? Or no one admitting to it?

Maybe if you titled the thread 'foiler alert'?

I kite foil a fair bit. It's pretty fun, a bit sketchy with the foil blade. You really barely need a lump of a wave to get you moving, it's pretty cool.

Haven't tried prone foiling yet as I normally only head out for a surf when the waves are good, but it looks fun. You'd want a fair bit of space to learn it....

Looks like a lot of fun . Maybe a way for me to get my surf fitness up when there are no waves .

I bought one after reading this: https://www.beginnersurfgear.com/foil-surfboard-buyers-guide/
It's a lot more challenging than I anticipated. The main thing is start off in small surf - like 1-2 foot max - otherwise you're seeing your arse
