Surely there’s a word for people who label someone else as racist, despite there being no evidence of racist behaviour, but simply because the person doesn’t adhere with 100% word-for word accuracy to the accuser’s extremely narrow social orthodoxy?
I can think of a word but I don’t think Ashsam would want me to put it up here.

How everything is connected, like this censorship thingy the govt want.
Coincidental it ties in with stabbing of bishop mari, you know that 16 yr old with a full bear ( trimmed) who was caught at 12yrs with a knife in school and treated for mental health issues at 12 onwards.
Who was born and raised muslim and not one iman or islam association has spoken up about how quaran commands them to kill non believers who deride their prophet?
Who all say it was mental issues and want the trist charge dropped.
This is one reason for this esafety commissar so they can control the narrative for social cohesion ( b. s.)

Shit for brains that’s for sure.
You wouldn’t know what equality means with a question like that.
What’s it like looking down from your Ivory Tower, you proved to many of us a while ago over a similar matter that you really are struggling with human concepts.

Do you really think that left wing media doesn't do the same???
But really much of this division grows out of universities, no matter what topic it is.

Always has been, you ever lived in a country town, Bowraville, Kempsey, Moree etc etc?
Ever been to any of the public housing missions?
Or you just a greeny city dweller?Ever been harassed/intimidated for money outside your local Woolies/Coles?
Happens to my Mrs all the time, Woolies/Coles have given up won't even call the cops anymore as they don't do jack.
They are not homeless either looking for extra cash for grog.
And they pick on mainly women too, how's that for you SR.
One of the things we have to put up with for being white privileged.
So your original statement was -
"since this "voice" debacle ( etcetcetc) their is a huge rift in our society and a lot of anger at fnp..."
That's what I'm calling bullshit on, that The Voice referendum was divisive or caused anger to be directed at Indigenous people.
I think that's garbage.
However if you say that there's a division and anger towards Indigenous people more generally, well I think that's obviously true.
I've spent years travelling around, working and living from Cairns to Halls Creek, Leonora to Dunwich, Geraldton to Kalgoorlie to Broken Hill
I'm aware of the "problems".
The (not so) funny thing is, The Voice was most likely the best chance to seriously address these issues that this country will have for a long time.
Weird eh?
Maybe think about that when you see these raggedy people living on the very margins of our society, drinking and brawling in parks, no chance of fitting in to the white man's world, any traditional tribal structure just obliterated, adrift and wondering what the fuck happened and why they can't, at the very least, have a real say in their lives.
The thing is, some of us won't give up on them as part of this society and this country.
How the fuck did we get here again??
Disgraceful.

Hey Southern Raw, I'm yet to find anything that indicates we are going through an "epidemic" of violence against women apart from a significant jump in the past four months, which is a total anomaly.
Intimate partner homicide has been trending down for decades as shown below
https://theconversation.com/49-women-have-been-killed-in-australia-so-fa...
At the same time, the issue is on the front page wherever you look - how's the headline on the Tele??
In any case, I still maintain that the issue is not so much men being violent to women as opposed to men being violent.
As far as I can work out, all evidence and stats show this clearly.
Out of interest, in 2022 69% of homicide victims were male.
https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/people/crime-and-justice/recorded-crim...
AndyM
Precision on wording matters to paint a true picture and not feed the "men bad" narrative that is out there ...
"Men being violent" should read "some men being violent" or more accurately "a small proportion of men being prone to violence"
All true frog but it is still men doing it.

Interesting graph shows a clear trend of things getting much better over the last few decades pity it doesnt go back further.
Kind of surprised the spikes around hard times like late 80s early 90s recession aren't bigger or clearer as many domestics are around money issues and times when people tend to drink more.
Would be interesting to see graphs for other countries to see if there is a similar trends world wide, id expect the western world might be similar but other countries with different attitude's towards women might not have seen such positive reductions in rates.

Who still buys newspapers lol boomers
Hey Andy M, thanks for that above. Well if homicide rates are going down, that is good to see.
As for violence against women, i think the category of domestic violence is too narrow. But just on that, i'd still treat the statistics of reported domestic violence with caution. 80percent of women don't report domestic violence to police. There's many reason's as highlighted in this abc news article. Apologies for using a news article, but it does highlight the relevant reasoning.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-03-29/domestic-violence-assumptions-inc...
But to be honest, i feel it's broader. Beyond DV, in the broader social context.
There just feels to be a palpable edge of violent aggression laced into the social fabric today, and women, are on the recieving end of it.
The fact so many women are feeling the need to make a stand, i don't believe is driven by the media. I feel it comes about because they are the ones that have to live this reality of the multifaceted aggression from males that appears widespread these days, in all forms, physical, mental, speech, media, workplace.
Anyway, cheers for passing on those stats. Appreciate your genuine care for this and also as noted by A.W above for indigenous Australians.
Good on you Andy.

Underreporting will change the incidence rate (I.e. it’s an underestimate), but the trend will still remain, unless the underreporting rate increases. Unlikely when it’s already close to a ceiling.
"NSW police officers respond to nearly 500 domestic and family violence incidents every day. The NSW Police Force estimates that domestic and family violence accounts for up to 40% of police work in NSW."
