Surfers and conspiracy theories etc
A very interesting video on analysis of data in Italy showing the progression of lower covid severity by a massive 95% from the first Wuhan strain through to Omicron. From 2.2% death rates to much much lower.
We are fortunate that the original Wuhan strain did not sweep the world for 3 years. But the shift to milder strains is in keeping with normal patterns in respiratory viruses. It was predictable and should have been factored into pandemic planning.
Probably one of the most interesting and useful studies I have come across. It was first available in early draft in June I think.
Some takeaways:
Vaccines played a role in protection from severe outcomes their early phases of introduction but overall the dominant factor by far leading to lowering risk and impact was the virus mutating to less severe strains over time - Omicron accelerated this dramatically.
And importantly, natural immunity driven by the massive spread of the milder Omicron strain had become the major factor protecting the population by early 2022.
In terms of the debates in this thread, it highlights how health authorities got locked into the high vaccination strategy to a far greater extent and for longer than should have been the case given the emerging data, observations of all and known trends in virus mutation.
I am sure big Pharma fostered the vax focus as much as possible. But other factors as simple as career risk and safety in the crowd played a role. Imagine a senior health official sticking their neck out by saying in early 2021 "relax, I predict the emergence of less severe versions that will fix this." Imagine the media pack attack.
Group think + liberal doses of commercial self interest may not be a systematically organised conspiracy but it has similar effects in practice.
The paper indicates that Omicron is the most effective "vaccine" (driver of immunity) out there and that protection levels across Italy and probably much of the world are very high even without further vaccinations.

Joking about kids with polio, totes sick. You can boast to your wife and kids “Hey guess what I trolled these guys talking about kids with polio! Hahahaha!”
You can tell your wife that you believe it’s ok 3rd world country kids can be vaccinated with a banned vaccine in majority of the world due to obvious reasons.
As long as they ain’t using it on rich white kids hey AndyM.
You would be blowing up if they used that vaccine in Australia.
Jeez you’re on the pipe early today Burls.
AndyM wrote:Jeez you’re on the pipe early today Burls.
AndyM the privileged white man doesn’t care if underprivileged kids are vaccinated with a banned vaccine. What a headline.
For the record, I do believe these children should be vaccinated. It’s the vaccine that I am questioning
seeds wrote:Yes I do realise the issues and why it isn’t used in Australia anymore. But..
“Inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) is used in developed countries, but it is expensive to produce and requires cold storage and intramuscular administration. Because these requirements are impractical in the developing world, a live attenuated oral polio vaccine (OPV) is used instead. OPV is cheaper to make than IPV, does not require cold storage and can be delivered orally by workers who do not require specialized training.”
This is the issue. As problematic as it is it’s far far better than no vaccine at all.
It wasnt impractical when the entire world got whacked with a faulty Covid Vaccine that needed to be kept cold and specialised trainers to inject it.
Must have been more money involved in Covid.
Countries where polio remains endemic continue to use the live oral polio vaccine because of its convenience and superior ability to induce mucosal immunity in the gut. Today polio continues to circulate in three countries: Afghanistan, Nigeria and Pakistan. Poor sanitation, lack of health-care infrastructure and opposition to vaccination campaigns by militant organizations have hampered the efforts to wipe out the virus for good.

I would say Vaccine Derived Polio is one of the main reasons the virus isn't wiped out for good. This is the polio AndyM found sifting through shit in London and NY.
If they can refrigerate Covid around the world they can refrigerate polio vaccine, but as i said earlier, must be less money involved. Especially in poor 3rd world countries.
"AndyM the privileged white man doesn’t care if underprivileged kids are vaccinated with a banned vaccine. What a headline."
Haha, Burls on fire today!
At least you're maintaining a dense of humour.
A 1 minute google search shows Aceh can vaccinate for Covid which requires refrigeration. Why can't they do it for Polio vaccine? You got an answer AndyM? or you sticking with white man privilege?

Sticking with white man privilege?
Hey, you're the one who'd prefer Indo kids to not be vaccinated at all rather than use a "great but not perfect" option.
Reeks of racism :)

Great but not perfect. lmao
I want them to be vaccinated with a first world vaccine that actually works. Not one that spreads vaccine derived polio. You know the same one kids get here in Australia. You got a warped sense of racism. Not surprising seeming your mindset to the oral vaccine these poor kids are receiving.

What’s your feedback?
Burliegh whats your Feedback ?
How easy is it to make health decisions for 3rd world children from a 1st world perspective.
Died suddenly is a classic textbook example of how to make money on the net, eerie scenery, spooky music and made up "facts." There is a sucker born every minute to lap this crap up, and they talk about critical thinking, hilarious.
About 5 years ago within the space of about six months five blokes I knew through surfing had massive heart attacks and died. If that had happened now I probably would have wondered if it was covid related.

They had no problem with getting a covid vaccine into third world countries that needs to be refrigerated. Money talks hey
Anyhoo, kids need to be vaccinated against polio, right?
AndyM wrote:Anyhoo, kids need to be vaccinated against polio, right?
Wild Polio is (basically) eradicated, the polio you get manic over is vaccine derived polio. An issue caused by Big Pharma/Governments. Did they cause the problem then sell the solution?
Do you believe new born babies need a hepatitis B shot and Vitamin K?
@burleigh , my daughter was born in Siloam hospital kuta, she got her vitamin k shot at 1 hour old followed shortly after by a hepatitis shot then next morning polio. She is a perfectly healthy and happy kid , I wish I could say the same for her many cousins that live in my wife’s village 150 klms away from kuta . Plenty of children die before the age of 10 from a variety of diseases .

Sorry to hear that Supa.
But not sure its relevant.
My kids also had their injections, but one thing that covid has done is open my eyes. The doctor/patient trust will never be the same & blind trust for vaccinations will also never be the same.
I agree with you there , trust has been broken for a lot of people by governments and health institutions, the doctor patient relationship copped a beating.
@Barely - "Wild Polio is (basically) eradicated, the polio you get manic over is vaccine derived polio."
There are three wild types of poliovirus (WPV) – type 1, type 2, and type 3. People need to be protected against all three types of the virus in order to prevent polio disease and the polio vaccination is the best protection.
Type 2 wild poliovirus was declared eradicated in September 2015, with the last virus detected in India in 1999.
Type 3 wild poliovirus was declared eradicated in October 2019.
It was last detected in November 2012.
Only type 1 wild poliovirus remains.
There are two vaccines used to protect against polio disease, oral polio vaccine and inactivated poliovirus vaccine.
The oral poliovirus vaccine (OPV) is used in many countries to protect against polio disease and HAS BEEN ESSENTIAL TO THE ERADICATION EFFORT
[my caps].
There are different types of oral poliovirus vaccine which may contain one, a combination of two, or all three different types of attenuated, or weakened, vaccine.
Each has their own advantages and disadvantages over the others.
Though rare, when there is insufficient coverage in a community, the vaccine-virus may be able to circulate, mutate, and over the course of 12 to 18 months, cause paralysis.

A few kids in the UK have died from strep A. Science says that due to lockdowns kids have not been out and about and been exposed to bugs and viruses, thus their immune systems are lowered and some struggle to fight of basic infections. Usually strep A does not kill in the numbers as now.

20% of deaths from study linked to myocarditis within a week of getting vax.
From the above study...
"Through our autopsy-based approach, we identified five cases of lymphocytic (epi-)myocarditis in persons, who were unexpectedly found dead at home within the first week following mRNA-mediated anti-SARS-CoV-2 immunization. According to the Dallas criteria four samples were classified as definitive myocarditis. In the remaining case, comparable inflammatory infiltration of the epicardium, subepicardial fat and myocardium was found, but myocardial infiltration did not exceed the threshold of the Dallas criteria. All cases showed a consistent phenotype: (A) focal interstitial lymphocytic myocardial infiltration, in three cases accompanied by demonstrable microfocal myocyte destruction. (B) T-cell dominant infiltrate with CD4 positive T-cells outnumbering CD8 positive T-cells by far; (C) frequently associated with T-cell infiltration of epicardium and subepicardial fat tissue revealing a similar immune phenotype (CD4 > > CD8)."
Anyone with a broader scientific or medical background able to read this and break it down with their own feedback? I got a little lost in the jargon.
Wouldn't worry about it too much BD.
"Our study is limited by the relatively small cohort size [5 people] and inherits the bias of an endpoint analysis. [“End-point bias” is a well-known psychological tendency to interpret a recent short-term fluctuation as a reversal of a long-term trend].
The nature of our autopsy study necessitates that the data are descriptive in quality and does not allow any epidemiological conclusions in terms of incidence or risk estimation.
The reported incidence of (epi-)myocarditis after vaccination is low and the risks of hospitalization and death associated with COVID-19 are stated to be greater than the recorded risk associated with COVID-19 vaccination [29]."
Similarly,
"The risk of acute myocarditis associated with COVID-19 mRNA vaccination has garnered intense (social) media attention.
However, myocarditis after COVID-19 mRNA vaccination is rare and usually resolves within days or weeks.
Moreover, the risks of hospitalization and death associated with COVID-19 are greater than the risk associated with COVID-19 vaccination.
Therefore, COVID-19 vaccination should be recommended in adolescents and adults."
Here you go BD.
John Cambell gives his explanation of the German myocarditis evidence.
The (only) ten thousand comments are worth a read.
Thanks @philososurphizing. Will check it out a bit later.
Yeah i saw that part @Andy M. A small sample size could be viewed two ways. 5 people out of 25 is concerning to me.
Not sure how many other studies involving autopsies to observe cause of death re vax and myocarditis have been done or have been allowed to be done. If you know of any others i'd like to check them out. Cheers.
And also from your link BD;
"Finally, we cannot provide a definitive functional proof or a direct causal link between vaccination and myocarditis."

I wonder if a simple scientific solution would be to perform autopsies on the next 100 people who die here in Australia.
Let's see what their hearts look like.
Let's see if there is a buildup of amyloid protein in dead peoples arteries (what the embalmers are finding).
If someone I knew died I would be demanding an autopsy.
Got any Legit links to what the Embalmers are finding ?
Many Autopsies would already been done on Covid deaths..
Also in the link from BD. They used “COVID jab” what sort of researcher uses “jab” to describe administering a vaccine?

yep, you've debunked it toadkill.

No. Amyloid plaques are suggestive of dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases.
