Heres a great presentaion on excess deaths from Steve Buscemi
A Comment from Philo's Utube Vid -
Oh Dear the poor Woman..
I took one jab, the all went south. I month after a Respiratory infection, not Covid thought I was going to die. Then the dizziness started, well that was multiple pulmonary embolisms, leading to hospitalization. Then a week after, gangrenous appendix, another hospitalization. Week after that stage 1a lung cancer, another hospitalization. I am a non smoker, ultra marathoner, who hasn’t had fast food in over 40 years. Never touched drugs or alcohol, I am just a woman who took one jab while the Supreme Court was making a ruling on the legitimacy of an employer to force a medical procedure. I am so mad at myself. Not sure if their is a tie, but I’ve always been healthy. I am cancer free, but I worry if it was the vaccine, I’m going to be a statistic.
Was almost certainly the vax.
Or maybe chemtrails.
Or possibly the third gunman on the grassy knoll.
We need a tinder for true bloods.
Had a squiz at a mate's Tinder the other day, heaps of ladies looking for non-vaxxed fellas.
gsco,
I posted on this very topic a couple of weeks ago (probably on this thread).
The devil is in the detail.
Why the jump in mortality in dementia patients (harking back to the recent amyloid plaques discussion) and diabetics?
Some would suggest that it was vaccine induced, my own opinion is that the virus has actually caused the upsurge in deaths, by mechanisms as yet undiscovered.
Remember the virus has killed millions of people across the world (it has form already!)
I remember reading scientific paper early in the pandemic which suggested a relationship between ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme), which is produced in the liver but broken down by kidneys (via renin) and higher risk of mortality from COVID. That logically leads to the question regarding the interaction between COVID and diabetes (especially in end stage renal patients) and it's affect on the kidneys. Does in fact increase mortality in this cohort?
Cancer mortality increase is a separate issue because if they were vaccine induced we would be seeing an enormous rise in very active and aggressive cancer in the acute hospital setting and we are not witnessing this on the ground.
A lot of research to be done. Not my domain. I'm just a nurse getting my arse handed to me every shift through the sheer volume of patients (and their high level of acuity)!!!
cool, thanks for the response san Guine.
For anyone interested, here's the Actuaries Institute report. It's a bit long and technical, so here's their speculations for causes of the excess death rate:
San G. You believe the excess deaths are not caused by the vaccine yet it’s been injected into basically the entire country.
It’s two options: the vaccine or as you believe the virus.
I believe it’s the vaccine which also has great form in harming fit and healthy people.
Whatever way you look at it the vaccine was a complete flop. You have full wards or covid patients and if the excess death are caused by the virus the vaccine has also failed.

Yep 100% covid. Don’t worry about the fact that the vaccine causes myocarditis. It was Covid ok.
Everything is from Covid.
Don’t ask questions, just know it was Covid.

The question I would ask is when did she first get he vaccines and when was she boostered , if at all , plus what vaccine did she receive ? Covid is a strange virus in that some perfectly healthy young & old people don’t have any symptoms while others get hit by a truck , same with long covid , there’s plenty of documentation on healthy young athletes that got long covid before a vaccine was distributed and have never regained their fitness . You can also say some have had bad reactions to the vaccine and others like my mother who’s had 2 AZ and 2 Pfizer shots plus she’s got vascular dementia and hasn’t had any reactions.
A fairly balanced article that has not all agreeing and still so much they are unsure about. https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/myocarditis-covid-vaccine-tee...

It shouldn’t matter when she received the vaccine. We have zero long term data on something that was injected into our population.
It should only matter that was she injected and be investigated. Not be blamed on Covid automatically

Well I think the doctors treating her would be looking at all possibilities , them leaning towards it being from covid is likely. The article doesn’t have all the information but the doctors would have the information on when where and what vaccine was used . Just curious Burleigh if you believe that most who have been vaccinated will die or have some serious problems in the next few years ?
"It’s two options: the vaccine or as you believe the virus."
Or it could be something else.

Let’s see how the next 24 months play out. Excess deaths & births.
I still know a women who has not had a normal menstruation since her first jab over 12 months ago and she is 100% not alone. She’s also got covid for the second time last week, so imagine how much faith she has in $cience.
For those that have been legitimately injured from the vaccine it must be hard when some just right them off as collateral damage.
Must watch: React19 co-founder Brianne Dressen, who was injured during the AstraZeneca trial, tells the secrets that the government is hiding before a panel of politicians, medical experts, and doctors who met in Washington D.C. to discuss COVID-19 vaccines. pic.twitter.com/MijnmqZyv0

.
"For those that have been legitimately injured from the vaccine it must be hard when some just right them off as collateral damage."
What do you think has happened to those in nursing homes and vulnerable people since they let it rip? How many deaths since? Thousands, and that's just collateral damage. I know of 4 infections in a nursing home in the last couple of weeks, two of which got really knocked about.

What’s your point? The vaccine didn’t stop transmission. Never did.
If these elderly are vaccinated your issue should be with the government and big pharma who sold a lemon.
From the beginning it was the weak and vulnerable that needed more care and resources instead we got a one size fits all approach and those that needed the most help were treated very poorly. Back to Brianne Dressen I found some interesting statements in this science article from earlier this year. https://www.science.org/content/article/rare-cases-coronavirus-vaccines-... Science contacted regulators and vaccinemakers about any information they’d gleaned on these side effects. A Pfizer spokesperson wrote, “We can confirm it’s something we’re monitoring.” Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson all said they take side effects seriously and share reports they receive with regulators. An FDA spokesperson said the agency “continues to maintain a strong focus on monitoring the safety of the COVID-19 vaccines,” while the European Medicines Agency notes it “is taking steps to use real-world data from clinical practice to monitor the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 treatments and vaccines.”
Other researchers note the scientific community is uneasy about studying such effects. “Everyone is tiptoeing around it,” Pretorius says. “I’ve talked to a lot of clinicians and researchers at various universities, and they don’t want to touch it.”………… Despite her experience, “I still think the vaccines are great,” Ruhrländer says. And the mRNA technology “has so much potential.” But these side effects, which for her have improved somewhat but haven’t disappeared, should be acknowledged and understood, she says. “We have to speak openly about it.”…………… Cheng has heard from dozens of people who describe chronic postvaccine problems, and she finds the overlap between their symptoms and those of Long Covid compelling. Now, she wants to move deliberately and scientifically in a search for answers. “We’ve got to retain rigor,” she says. “There’s just this complete dearth of data.”
If Fauci can convince China to get on board with superior western mRNA vaccines , Pfizer owes him a carton at least for the amount of sales . https://finance.yahoo.com/news/fauci-isn-t-just-worried-231618634.html

That all you got. I expected more nocludo
Putting aside his other views, his ideas about company and withholding tax reform hold some weight and should be considered, and you can see why given his background in accounting and tax law.
Australia needs to find solutions to companies taking profits offshore and avoiding paying taxes here. A case can easily be made that the current system encourages this and other kinds of tax avoidance and evasion to our detriment.
But maybe he should have kept quiet with everything else.

You don’t agree kids should be with their parents?
Got it
More carefully nuanced genius from Burls.
Burleigh you certainly have more patience in humouring the ignorance leveled at you in this thread than I do. If I made a choice [gamble] that would affect my own, my families and my kids lives I too would shoot down anyone who dare signal some inconvenient information that may indicate it was a bad choice.

So you prefer a world where a three year old has to go to daycare 8 hours per day because both parents are forced to work.
You’re an absolute flog. You want to jab kids any chance you get when you hear a news story and don’t care that kids are separated from their parents because we live in an economy that both parents need to work full time to out a roof over their head and feed their family.
I feel sorry for you. You’re sick in the head

Burleigh, the point is that a world where both parents have to work to survive, some even having to forego pregnancy leave, was created by Idiot Libertarians such as Gerard Rennick and his ilk, and now he has the temerity to attack the party offering a workround without himself suggesting a root solution.
That's because he has none.
Also, 12% company tax? That's less than half of the current rate, and his reasoning is that it would reduce tax evasion.
So, by similar reasoning, he's saying that Australia is currently losing more than half of its potential company tax income to evasion. That's a very serious implication. However, rather than lower the tax rate even further a reasonable person might suggest we simply close loopholes. Stop the rent seeking and profit shifting.
I hoped we'd moved on and gotten rid of ideological buffoons like Rennick, but there's still a few washing around in the bottom of the trough.
Be wary of anything people like him propose.
EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm not playing party politics. Late in his term, ScoMo suggested a childcare strategy that, though not implemented, was similar to Labor's. Rennick, however, only attacked Labor.
"You want to jab kids any chance you get when you hear a news story"
Nah I think vaccinating kids against polio, whooping cough and the like is always a good idea. Covid is a different story.
If you'd like to engage a bit deeper instead of throwing out a pretty basic statement like "kids should be with their parents" (up until what age? what are the driving factors behind this issue?) instead of getting your wee lace panties in a bunch then we'd most likely have a more productive conversation.
My daughter is an only child, she started going to daycare 3 days a week 9am to 3pm from the age of 18 months while I worked and my wife was at home . She got to play with kids her own age and learnt so much by interacting with her peers . She adored her teacher and playmates , they did some really good arts and crafts activities as well as preparing her for school. Kids need to be with other kids . She’s vaccinated for pretty much everything except covid .

He never suggested lowering the company tax rate to 12%. He just mentioned Ireland and Singapore as examples of his idea for the relationship between the company tax rate and withholding tax.
And it's not about loopholes, rent seeking or profit shifting. Multinational companies are not necessarily exploiting "loopholes" in our tax system when avoiding paying tax here.
It's a question of competition and incentives due to the overall structure of our tax system.
Countries compete with each other, particularly with tax havens, to have multinational companies domiciled and paying taxes there.
Australia encourages foreign investment by multinational companies but our tax system doesn't encourage them to be domiciled and pay taxes here.
If we want multinationals to pay tax here then our tax system simply needs to be competitive in this area against the tax systems of other countries.
Alternatively we could just ban foreign investment by multinationals…?…
gsco wrote:He never suggested lowering the company tax rate to 12%. It's the ABC article that suggested this.
Right. Suggested it in his quote marks.
"Do you know how you fix it? You do what Ireland and Singapore do," he said.
"They have a company tax rate of 12 per cent and a withholding tax rate of 15 per cent."
He’s merely highlighting the relationship in those countries between the company tax rate and withholding tax.
