Search tool for breaks by swell direction?
On principle we've avoided building anything like this (it's come up in many discussions over the last fifteen years). However there are so many variables that contribute to there being "good surf" at a particular break; swell direction is but one of 'em.
There is a few tools like that around alosurdo.
Usually one or two hanging around at the local beach car park.
Feed them beers rather than data for optimum results.
"principles"," tools"?Hand me a beer please blowie.
Isn't it just a matter of time until someone does an app ?
Plenty of people have tried in the past (websites, Apps) in this area. Thing is, it's actually not that popular so it's hard to get any traffic to make it viable.
It already exists. It's called Google Earth
Google wont identify optimum swell directions for certain breaks ?? , im talking about an elaborate give away the secrets type thing . like a ( modern electronic version ) mark warrens / nat youngs book when stuff was given up to the reader . iF theres an app or whatever that points out the prime waves of wa sa vic tas I'd be interested to see this so let me know what you mean about theres already apps etc
People want everything on a platter now don't they. Alosurdo part of the fun is discovering places for yourself.
Bondi beach in a SE swell with West winds.
You didn't hear it from me.
Wait , was that a SE swell or NE swell ?
Fucked if I know.
But if you hit up old mate habib at the kebab shop due east of the old Coke sign at the Cross he'll sort you out for blow.
Apparently.
Hi,
Looking to go away up or down the NSW coast with a few mates.
I am wondering if there is some sort of "tool" out there where you can put in swell direction and it recommends some breaks?
For example, spring/summer tends to see more NE swells, can we wack this in to some sort of tool which will spit out the best breaks for this swell?
Cheers
