I heart WOTD
Thor looks like he's been studying the style of groundswell at small gland.
Except natural foot of course.
Maybe preparing for a biopic?

Thor playing groundy, that would be amazing.
I was thinking more of a Jonny Depp in Fear and Loathing type of vibe

Hell of a sequence to it. 34 shots in total.
Only just realised who it was from these comments. Stoked that I thought he was just another surfer so I got to enjoy the shot/ vibe/ style au naturel
He’s not the messiah….he’s just a fella who looks pretty for the camera.
Knows how to get pitted but.
Top work Craig.
Yes, very nice.
OUT THE BACK !
Ha, cheers guys. Walking past this feature my proper camera had a malfunction and I couldn't capture the quality I wanted, but the phone camera still came out nice.
Here's an image I took with funky settings on the proper camera, focus is soft but it's quite dream like!
If you're keen on snow and light and texture, this man is the king:

He's good, thanks.
2x, cheers IB!
How good was Friday out there. Fried myself figuratively and literally.

Insane eh! Where you end up skiing?
Cracking shot Craigos.
2nd that, beautiful shot Craig
Cheers fellas!
Dig the pop-out sky in your "faulty" shot above Craig, a little play with colour correction on the snow and you have a blinder there.
Thanks Blackers, yeah I went a little warmer to make it more 'dream' like.
Might pull it back a bit to the more natural cooler tone.
The black and white looks like snow dunes!
Timeless
Wowzers. Great shot Josh. And caption Stu!
Great shot!!
x2 on the shot and the caption.
+Great shot above Craig also.

Great shot today
Caption could have honoured the moon’s role to (and our reverence for) tides, just saying…..
What a fucking behemoth!
Almost as big as NVR's ego!
Thats a booming barry
Today’s WOTD got me. Amazing wave. Exactly what I want right now.
Yes, but why is he duckdiving?
Must be plenty more where that came from...
What a beast!……..Go Fraser Go!
Todays is so good!
On a Webby DS too.
(For those in the D Storm cult)
Spray coming off his bottom turn, reckon he’s going pretty quick.
Insane shot and big wave surfing eh!

Or it might be for those of us in the lesser known spartan gun cult? https://www.facebook.com/WebsterSurf/posts/76-x-19-12-x-2-78-430l-sparta...

I got sent a bunch of shots from the same session and that's gotta be the board.
So there you go, there are two cults.
15 y.o. me would've had todays shot hung up on my wall.
He is on the Spartan @Stu though it may not be that 7’6. His rails are significantly thinner than my boxier DS.
Unreal photo and surfing.
Funny, but I had a dream last night about surfing my 7'6 Spartan.

See what I mean about cult?
These people need our help.
I'll take whisky and pork crackling and encouraging words, Stu.
Some more Spartan goodies
Hey, IB. How would you compare the Spartan with the Desert Storm?

You should give Webby a buzz if you're interested, he's super helpful and ended up recommending a 8'0 spartan over a DS for me. I recall the key reason in my instance (bear in mind I'm 65kg), was that it would be way more manoeuvrable and more versatile in terms of conditions. I think it's what Webby uses in Hawaii. Just from holding a DS, I'd say its a completely different animal.
The Spartan is a gun design with high-performance manoeuvres in mind. A lot of surfers want to throw their board around in bigger waves and The Spartan really lets you do that. It loves to arc in double to triple overhead conditions. This gun features a modern outline, balanced thickness throughout and a smooth, blended rocker that has increased lift in the nose and tail. Bottom contour is a V double-concave, creating a fast and forgiving manoeuvrable board that claims all the hold and drive of a high-performance gun. The Spartan is a real treat to ride.
Cheers, DY and Udo. I'm going to put a 7' Spartan on my wishlist for the next trip to Indo.
A Spartan, yeah but.... being a member of the DS cult it still surprises me how much my DS lights up with a bit of size and power.
DS is a broadsword. Spartan a rapier.
DS for big paddles. Spartan for when you have to be able to duckdive.
Spartan
The wave of the day does it for me big time. Nice work Steen Barnes , Shaun Anderson and Swellnet.
In one photo you've encompassed everything nice about surfing. If I was a wanker I'd say that it was perfect except for the fact he is in a wetsuit. Which it is , it's perfect .....except for the fact he's in a wetsuit.
