Hey there fellas and girls was thinking of going to Samoa in November?

Don't want big crowds and it seems a lot cheaper than other places.

Theres a few places to go, does anyone have any good ideas?

Cheers for the input

Welly

welly

I went to Upolu last August with wife and 2 year old. we stayed in a family resort inland from Apia but rented a cheap car so I could get to the south coast surf (30min drive).

I surfed twice with Samoana Tours and twice with Neil from Manoa. Both were cheap, Samoana will take you even if you don't stay with them. Samoana have a big proper boat and can take you to more breaks. Neil just has a dingy operating out of Coconuts with limited access but will get you straight out to the nearest breaks real quick.

There's a few other surf resorts you can stay with (salini). And if your keen I saw blokes paddling from shore.

All in all, samoa is ok for surf. No big crowds and cheap. It gets a bit hammered by winds though and the rides are short mostly. When Samoana or other big boats wont run in the stronger winds then see Neil as he will take you out in nearly anything.

Good luck, hope you score good conditions. Don't take your prized boards as the reefs are shallow.
