That looks like a good choice fliplid
Jeez Udo one hour in the water, i wonder what he paid for it
I’d take your idea and get Ray Finlay to make something up for you that suits.
Groundy - $1500
I've got the exact board IB.

Get the guy who glassed freerides board to make you one if you’re coming over.
Bryan Bates.
Moving to North Island IB?
Wellington is the north island
Shayma Buttonshaw has been taking these long gliders out in well overhead Vic waves. I imagine they'd work in knee high stuff too.
I'd like to go to Wellington!
IB, I recently bought a Firewire Dominator 2, reckon it would suit your needs; 6'10" but almost 55 ltrs. 5 fin options. Loving mine, it goes ok in small slop, and handles some size. And I love the durability of the Helium construction
John john's 6'1 seems to go pretty good in 2ft waves and 10ft Margs.
I think a Firewire, especially Helium, would be horrible in the windy conditions of Wellington.
Gary Mcneill 'Entity ' Twin 7'2 x 21 x 3 with Ryan Lovelace Keels on Byron Facey marketplace
$600
Sorry swellnet for my oxford st story last night was a bit loose i guess.
Back to school Grade 1 for me lostdoggy, haha
I'd like to go to NZ one day
I.B., I've got an 8'6", 22 1/2, 3 1/4 Webster.
Not a gun but can surf bigger waves no probs, though I'm not sure about big barrels.
Goes sick in 2-4ft, bit of width and rocker in the tail is nice.
Also got a 7'6", 21 1/4, 3 1/4 modified Outlaw, second on the left in the photo below. A joy to surf in 6ft+, the thing hammers and isn't so gunny that it loses versatility.
I reckon a 7'2" version of that Outlaw would be my "desert island" board.

I screen shot it for posterity
I missed your oxford street story GS
Short version got dleleted again..oops
Groundswell that was the best story!i didnt screen shot it but didnt need to as it left quite a vivid vision locked into the memory vault.thnx
haha thanks..one of the best weekends of my life besides indonesian adventures.

Damn i missed it, i love a story especially a no holds back one, must have been petty loose is admins deleted it though.
Hahaha, @ groundswell , I read your penthouse forum story last night , I did have a laugh especially picturing you wearing a clown mask . Best leave those stories on the pages of penthouse maybe mate .
Groundy I reckon you used to write for Truth 'Heartbalm'
Ha ha! I read it and was gobsmacked.
I kinda felt sorry for the donkey.
ps- and lovers of bottled spaghetti sauce.
I'm gutted, stories involving donkeys and bottled spaghetti sauce are my fetish and I missed it, damm the world is going to shit
I read it GS. Classic. Epic tale of debauchery. Can see why it got deleted tho. Not exactly family friendly!
No judgement.
Yeah, I reckon we've got a loose moderation philosophy, partly 'cos of four ree speech policy, partly 'cos the forums are busy and we cant police every post, therefore there's an onus on commenters to apply some prudence on what they post. Keeping in mind their comment will most likely spend some time on the homepage, and even when it's moved off the front page it remains searchable and discovereable forever more.

Not a bad idea. Checked his Insta, and he does make a lot of boards that look like they'd match the criteria.
He did the byrning spears boards for NZ.
Master.
Haha Zen the donkey bit had me pissing myself you're a funny bastard.
PS surf was pumping today at a couple of breaks around here today best surf ive seen in 10 months.
Craig anderson is in town too, might be some footage of him on instagram or somewhere.
Best all rounder in my quiver is a christenson nautilus, 6'9 x 21 1/8 x 2 9/16 .... can surf all waves from 2 -8 ft really well. Quad, thruster or even large keels as a twinny work great. Doesn't surf like it looks from the outline that's for sure.
EPS Gun with a Mega Glassing Schedule
No doubt some of the Worlds top Shapers and Pipe Chargers were Pawing over Harrys 7'2 Gravelle yesterday...Would love to hear there Thoughts on it.
Was he running the haz/keough/soar quads?
I think caml says he rides the soars in his DS’s
But he likes small fins.
My guess is that he was using the Harry quads from Soar.
I saw a picture of him with a quad under arm. You don't need a channel bottom to use small fins,
If he had bigger fins there would be more drag, he only just made that tube. Small fins =less drag and deep tubes
Some ideas, please.
Ms Island Bay and I are moving north, but keeping a small apartment in Wellington. Can't keep many boards in that place, and don't really want to, as we won't spend that much time here. I figure two boards, but they'd have to cover a big variety of size and conditions.
1. Board for 'good' waves. 6'4 Webster Desert Storm should cover OH to solid OH reefs, i.e. our local good spots when they're on.
2. This where the Swiss Army Knife comes in. Something that'll glide in small piddly surf, but also be fun in OH waves, so a bit of length and volume required. My idea is a 7'8 or 7'10 Gentleman's Gun/sleek mid length, maybe with a quad + single fin setup. 7'8 x 21 1/2 x 2 7/8 or so.
This should cover some ground, but I'd be shit out of luck if one of the serious spots decides to pump and it's 12ft+
Thanks in advance.
