FIN KNOWLEDGE
I focus wrote:Hey Shane how much flex is there in the tips of those fins?
heaps in the tips. main fin area is quite stiff in contrast.
The Orange fish with the s-wings is my board and I ride them in nearly all of my boards - constantly impressed with how they deliver - you need to try them, bloody awesome!

there is alot of flex in the tips, the rest of the fin is fairly stiff in comparison.

Hi Udo. We did a small test run on sales over the past 4 months. Have recently sold out of most styles - so signs of demand in Oz are good. The full S-Wings Range is quite wide so judging what we need in Oz is a challenge.
I am planning a reorder to arrive May/June.
Please let us know directly (via the BRAVOsurf contact button) what you’re chasing and I can ensure it’s in the order. Cheers!
Futures has been making signature fins for John John Florence ever since he was a student at Sunset Beach Elementary and they released his “Super Grom” fin. At The Eddie, we noticed John carrying around something that looked like a Twinzer. “We’ve been messing around with a lot of designs,” Vince explained, “and right now, we’re going with smaller front fins with larger quad rears. It’s the new trend to get boards to track a bit better. The smaller front fins have less rake and more cant angle to help break that track for bottom turning on a big wave.”
“I was at an Outer Reef and felt like I was sliding out,” John John explained. “We started talking about that and getting ideas to hold the tail in better. I surfed it at Waimea last year when it was pretty big and it felt insane. I haven’t tried them on a big left yet.”
We changed the setup for John to bigger fins in the back and going straight up on the sides. After a Waimea session, we were golden for him going frontside. We have some more testing to do at Himalayas to see if we really nailed the original concept, but John’s prototype has been well tested at Waimea and it’s going into production. They should be available fairly soon.”
I saw john's fins but they did not look like a twinzer. any pictures to support the twinzer story ?
John's fins seen on eddie comp;
carrying his board with grey color on the bottom,
fins: orange in front and black in the rear .
same board ?

Nice Work...And some Words from Greg Webber re C-Drives ...
Interesting Udo.
I surfed the C-drives with the chunkier swell this week, and got to really feel them out on some 4-5ft sets. Jeez they drive like a quad, there were a couple of sections that on my normal fins I knew I wouldn't have made, but these just pushed me through. I have to surf them more.
Dean Cole claims to be C-Drive inventor.

Yeah Udo that's basically how it happens. That guy is doing the finish run there after doing a roughing run (the 'stepped' appearance).
Gotta say it looks like a few people have been going mental on the 3d fin constructing software, or slipping on the mouse when they are doing the designs lol

Hi All ,
after a bit of your vast wisdom here , got myself a tiny 5'8 fish for small mushy waves , in 78 kgs and currently have fcs g'3 s in it but find them to lack drive and speed anyone have any suggestions on what would be more suitable fins for speed / drive in small waves , old school fcs plugs in the board tri fin .
help would be greatly appreciated .
