And further, a slow vax rollout with zero covid in the community might then see a very different result? (ie, no spike)

Not sure if this link has already been put up but this study was recently done in Denmark showing that there is a similar level of clotting in the general population as with those caused by vaccines. Although may be different causes. Just shows though, a condition that already exists in the community gets very little attention but when something like a vaccine is added into the mix all of a sudden it gets put into the spot light

Coincidentally enough this includes two members of one couple who suffer from “fatigue” and who I’ll bet are on disability pension as a result....
The 19 percent quoted in the link equates to 16 people who are probably aged 85 plus and with multiple previously existing serious health problems out of the 30,000 odd Aussies who’ve tested positive. That’s what the experts say....if the media tries to spin this truth that’s a problem.

If the article were honest it would specify the fact that it’s referring to literally less than 30 individuals amongst a cohort of 30,000 Australians who have tested positive for Covid.

If you say it equates to 30 out of 30,000 that’s not right. It’s 30 from their study at one hospital.
Pretty sure the accepted percentage of hospitalisations from CV is 20%, so that means 6000 hospitalisations in our country with 20% or 1200 suffering long covid.
Assuming CV is going to just keep going round and round like the flu means it’s going to knock on your door sooner or later.
So if you don’t vaccinate, that means you have a 1 in 5 chance of requiring hospitalisation and a 1 in 25 chance of long covid symptoms.
Every vaccine available protects from serious illness between 95-100 percent.
If you take the middle road of 97.5% then you increase your luck by X40.
Vaccinated people in the coming years will have a 1 in 200 chance of hospitalisation and a 1 in 1000 chance of long covid.

Incorrect. You keep applying the statistics as though they are appropriate for the entire population equally. Unless you are both elderly and of poor health the statistics you are applying do not factor. It’s entirely inappropriate to claim that a healthy Australian has a one in five chance of being hospitalised due to Covid if they catch the virus. The statistics are skewed so heavily towards those with impaired health that it’s incorrect to the point of meaningless to try and make blanket claims regarding someone’s chances of suffering unless you are saying that the chances of a younger and/ or healthy person getting long Covid are negligible. Some young and/ or healthy people do suffer but the odds are so tiny as to negate risk.

I was a little shocked at Alan Joyce (CEO Qantas) announcement that international travelers will be required to have a covid 19 vaccination in order to travel on Qantas flights . The government wanted to have mandatory vaccination but after the bumbling of its release ( it was painful to watch the delivery of that announcement ) they withdrew the mandatory part but it seems Qantas and other business may demand a vaccination in order to use their services. I’m not anti vaccine by any means I just don’t trust this government or a vaccine that has been rushed through. A jab followed by another jab followed by yearly jabs doesn’t sit well with me as I have never had a flu shot or the flu for more than 20 years. Plus I don’t want to give this shot to my healthy 4 year old daughter. She is up to date with all her vaccinations but this covid vaccine is new and not being around for decades like the others. Tuberculosis remains the number one as far diseases go and you don’t need proof of vaccination to travel so what is going on ?
