C'mon mate, don't go charging in half-cocked and then play the victim when you get called out.
At least own it and say it was a mistake and you've moved on.
We'd all be lying if we said we didn't think that way sometimes.

Like i said, alot of admiration but i've got my touchy points.
I still think of my ex every single day, every single hour.
And i'm still in touch with her mum.
It isn't an excuse but it will explain why i get so aggressive on this issue.
I would love to see a shift in attitude.
Still love ya.

G’day @wax24, are you out there?

Humour me if you may. In my now dated discussions with many of your fellow countrymen/women while touring throughout Europe I was surprised to learn that in school the only history studied was US and very few had exposure to say European history or more correctly I should say where European and US history crossed (WW2) all seemed very knowledgeable. Now I'm not being rude here because I studied Australian history all through high school and into university and it wasn’t until university that I truly got exposed to our true indigenous history of murder and dispossession, so it maybe a generation thing (^^ US school curriculum and AU).

My point, fuck what is my point? Yes, US education, apparently with young voters in this election there was a divide between boys and girls and young blokes voted Trump more so than young women who just happened to be higher educated. No judgement as it rings true, less pay than girls of the same age, perhaps more reason to be disaffected more reason to vote for trump … any insightful comment on my rambling?

Brother you were aggressive a long, long time before any supposed mention of your ex.
Anyway the shift in attitude has been happening for a long time and is continuing.
And we need deep breaths and cooler heads with regards to so much at the moment.

Disappointing AndyM.
Unfortunately you still haven't learnt from your bro's sesh.
It'll happen again, and you'll probably brag about it here on SN because it's a safe space from women.
The tables will turn one day.
Maybe next time, consider the time, (trump the woman hater wins),context (the night Trump wins) and think, maybe i should offer a bit of love instead of ridicule, regardless of my bogan Lennox mates. Goes a long way.

Hey Guy.... A coupla years ago, here at work, i was having a conversation where Churchill came up. A 23 yr old (female) nurse had a blank stare, so i asked her what she knew of Winston Churchill. She had no idea who i was talking about. I was gobsmacked. I shouldn't have been, because there have been many little snippets like this in recent years, where i have come to be of the opinion that US education Sucks.
(Then i tell myself i am getting old and cranky and think about more important things, like which flavor in Neapolitan ice cream is REALLY my fave?)
Used to be different. I was learning Western Civilization starting at 10 yrs old. That course began at the crucifying of Christ and ran thru to the American Revolution. Then again, i was sent to private school, where it cost the parents a fortune.
I think it was VJ and i think it was a page or two ago on this thread, where a vid of Scott Galloway was posted. That'll do a much better job than me of explaining the current disconnect with young men in SeppoReich.

With regard to conversation above, the stat I saw on election night was that voters in this election were 53% female. So this result has been achieved with a slight female majority, which adds more riddle and enigma to it.

Not so much to me, VJ. There are
a number of statistical rabbit holes to find shelter in…. but the fact is that Trump built a broad coalition. He didn’t carry any coalition firmly, but carried all demostratably.
The middle ground (in case you’ve roiled your nose at “Silent Majority”) spoke.
Within that truth are an infinite number of anxieties.

I reckon it would higher, I’ll agree with that. I look at my wife; she would never vote trump due to the way he talked about women, abortion etc. But take that away and she would 100% vote Trump.

Green Ant Bully scrutinizes and neutralizes Trump's Biggest Mandate Ever...(Cough!)

World Media + Exit Polls have conveniently left out the only one important detail! Wot?
Voter Turnout! Hmm!
All assume because more were encouraged to Vote then Trump has a larger Mandate?

How to check if Trump's bigger than everything election mandate measures up!
Well! Wiki have once again had their balls cut off & are too afraid to say anything!

(Shh! Pinkie Promise not to alarm Henny Penny from Sky is caving in my head News!)

https://foreignpolicy.com/projects/2024-us-president-election-live-updat...

2024 US Election Turnout is predicted to be 65% a drop of 158m voters
2020 Turnout was much larger by 158m voters = 67%

2024 Trump mandate = 32.95% of Total Eligible Voters
2022 LNP mandate = 32.06% (vs) Albo 29.26% (Record Lowest for any Oz PM ever)
2020 Biden mandate = 34.17% of Total Eligible Voters

(44% of US Voted to have a Gun in their House...Not a Zombie or a Tea Party!)

1.There is no Mandate in any Nation with less than 1/3 of eligible voters
2. If the Least popular PM in Oz History loses next Election...How is that a Shock?
3. 44% US elected for a Gun...(32.95% Elected Commander in Chief of Free World)

Crew will never ever once hear the truth outside of a swellnet drop box...All say Aye!

This one opens a huge rabbit hole (60% of young men in US already not in a relationship - ie no one is interested, for they are chasing Chad) and goes beyond the election results. There's also a thing called Passport Bros.

From what I've read the projections are ending up with no-one - 50% of US women reaching 40 with no partner or children, as fertility slides. It's a disaster either way, male or female, I've also linked up in 'interesting stuff' the topic of not enough children worldwide, and population collapse that is forecast for the 2nd half of this century. It means the entire highly developed, just in time, tech world and living standards of today - are the peak of it. Again getting off topic, but on the horizon.

G'day @wax24, thanks for your reply overnight, I've overslept as I've got a dose of covid's spicy cough! Your comments ring true from what I had gathered that the version of history taught in US schools focuses on christian belief and that of your own nation's brief timeline. It must be a revelation for US citizens to travel internationally and experience different cultures although apparently in % terms the numbers that do so are small. Side note.
Only learned this week that with the new acara curriculum for WW2, there is no mention of the Soviet involvement or eastern front.
USA not the only country with selective version of history...

Really?

Told by humanities head of dept so assuming correct.
Have not personally gone through new version 9 curriculum for it.

As from my understanding they lost more than 25 million people, it kind of is a big deal for outcome if WW2....

^^ @VJ, yes, I was thinking the same overnight in my conversation with @wax24 .... and why would young modern US women sign up for life with a good ole boy? .......already better educated, presumably in better jobs with better pay and career prospects.
