A trough of low pressure NE of the North Island is deepening today but moving southwards at a clip through the swell window with reduced swell potential compared to Fridays notes.
A fun amount of swell is due over the coming days but winds won't become favourable until at least Thursday. Some fun Mid Coast energy should be seen Sunday.
Later polar fronts in the far southern/central Tasman remain strong and although better aimed at Pacific targets we’ll still see some significant sideband S’ly energy from them.
High pressure sitting to our west over the coming week will bring generally poor conditions with moderate sized swell pulses.
