Recap
Nice, clean fun 2ft waves yesterday morning ahead of sea breezes, onshore this morning with easterly winds and weaker, smaller surf.
This week and next week (Nov 30 – Dec 8)
The end of the week looks poor thanks to a strong low that's forming to our north-east, generating strong to near-gale-force E/SE winds aimed towards the Victorian/NSW border.
The southern flank of the low will direct fresh E/SE-SE tending E/SE winds into us tomorrow with a small, easing swell, E/NE-NE on Friday morning but with tiny levels of leftover swell.
Moving into the weekend, a window of light winds are due early Saturday morning with some tiny, background SW swell not getting over 1-1.5ft. Another trough will bring a S/SE change through the morning, freshening into the afternoon.
Sunday will see lingering S/SE winds but with tiny surf.
On Monday a small pulse of mid-period S/SW swell is due, generated by a weak front firing up to the south of the state on Saturday.
2ft sets are expected across Clifton and with favourable N/NE offshore winds, shifting E/NE through the afternoon and strengthening.
This looks like the pick of the period, with tiny waves due to follow into next week. More on this Friday.
