Tiny surf yesterday and similar today with the swell totally bottoming out.

Today’s Forecaster Notes are brought to you by Rip Curl

This weekend and next week (Apr 18 - 21)

Tomorrow is expected to remain tiny, but our new W/SW swell for Friday is looking good, with a great fetch of strong to gale-force W/SW winds being generated south of WA yesterday and this morning.

The swell should fill in Friday and reach a good 2ft across Clifton, possibly undersized at dawn but showing mid-morning.

Winds will be good and offshore from the NW in the morning, tending more N/NE ahead of E/SE sea breezes.

The swell will fade through Saturday from 1ft to possibly 1.5ft though a new S/SE swell from a tight and intense low forming south-southeast of us Thursday should produce a fun pulse of swell to 2ft.

A small fetch of S'ly gales just in our swell window will generate this swell, with it fading into the afternoon under N/NW tending N/NE winds.

Beyond this there's nothing significant on the cards until mid-next week when we'll hopefully see the storm track slipping south and projecting fetches of W/SW gales under us.

This will generate good W/SW swells from mid-week through next weekend, but more on this Friday.
