Southern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 24th December)

Best Days: No good days

Recap

Tiny over the weekend but our new W/SW swell due through today was coming in at a fun 1-2ft this morning and looking at Cape Sorell it should of pushed to 2ft+ or so through the day with offshore winds.

Today’s Forecaster Notes are brought to you by Rip Curl

This week and weekend (Dec 25 - 30)

Make the most of today's swell as we'll see the surf easing off through tomorrow, with nothing of significance to replace it all period.

There should still be 1-2ft sets on offer early tomorrow but winds look dicey with a SW breeze at dawn (very unlikely W'ly early and if so reverting back to the S/SW by mid-late morning)

Unfortunately from here the storm track will remain weak, north in position and mostly focussed towards Western Australia.

This means tiny W'ly swells for our region, if any size at all until early next week, when we may see one of the fronts moving across us. Check back here on Wednesday for more details on this or check the East Coast Forecaster notes in an hour. Merry Christmas!
