Fading surf, tiny most of next week
Southern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 10th November)
Best Days: Saturday morning, Sunday morning
Recap
Plenty of swell hanging in at 2-3ft yesterday morning with nice clean conditions, while today a strong new SW groundswell has filled in, though a light SE breeze created bumpy conditions.
This weekend and next week (Nov 11 - 17)
Make the most of tomorrow, because once today's swell eases, there's nothing significant on the cards for our region through next week,
We should see 2ft+ sets tomorrow morning with a morning offshore NW breeze before winds swing onshore, with fading 1-1.5ft waves Sunday and variable breezes through morning.
Into early-mid next week there's no new swell at all expected across the state with tiny amounts of distant W/SW swell from south-west of WA not expected to get above 1ft.
A surface trough moving across us through Wednesday afternoon is expected to stall just to our north-west and direct a weak fetch of S/SE winds through our southern swell window.
This may generate some small S/SE swell for later in the week, but we'll have another look at this Monday. Have a great weekend!
