Best Days: Saturday, Monday, Wednesday afternoon/evening, Thursday morning

Recap

Tiny waves yesterday with a slight lift in size this morning, but this afternoon the strong W/SW groundswell has filled in and provided good surf.

This weekend and next week (May 27 – Jun 2)

This afternoon's pulse of W/SW groundswell should ease back through tomorrow with 2ft sets early, smaller into the afternoon and tiny Sunday.

Conditions will be clean all day tomorrow with a fresh N/NW breeze, and then NW tending W'ly winds Sunday.

The strong mid-latitude low flagged on Wednesday, moving in from the Bight and then slipping south-east into our swell window is still on track. But it will lose all its energy once it moves into our swell window on Saturday evening.

A fleeting burst of weakening S/SWW winds will be aimed in our swell window Sunday, producing a small S/SW swell for Monday but not above 1-2ft.

This swell will be weak but conditions look good with a W/NW breeze holding most of the day.

Tuesday will be clean but the surf tiny and fading.

Following this, a stronger polar front forming south-west of us Monday afternoon should produce a fetch of W/SW gales through our swell window, generating a good SW groundswell for Wednesday.

The swell should build through the day and reach 2ft+ into the afternoon. Winds are a little dicey but should be W/NW early, and possibly W/NW late, so protected spots will be the go.

Beyond this a secondary stronger front may generate some new swell late week, but check back Monday for more on this. Have a great weekend!
