Best Days: Saturday morning, Tuesday morning, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday, Friday morning

Recap

Small fun 1-2ft waves yesterday, but a new pulse of W/SW groundswell due this morning to 2ft, has come in under expectations with tiny 1-1.5ft waves more aimed at beginners.

This weekend and next week (Oct 10 – 16)

Tomorrow's pulse of W/SW groundswell is still on track, with the strong but less than favourably aligned frontal system currently passing under us, well to the south of the state.

This should provide a kick to 1-2ft tomorrow morning, fading into the afternoon and becoming tiny Sunday morning.

Conditions will be clean tomorrow with a NW tending variable breeze, possibly a weak SE'ly into the afternoon, and then NW tending W/NW winds ahead of a late W/SW change Sunday.

A new pulse of W/SW groundswell is due later Sunday and Monday, from another less than favourable fetch of W/NW gales swinging in from the west over the coming days.

This should kick Clifton back to 1-2ft later Sunday, easing from a similar size Monday morning. Winds as touched on last update will be poor though as a surface trough drifts east, bringing a fresh S/SE change.

There's a slight chance this could be delayed, with an early variable breeze, so keep an eye on local observations.

Through the rest of next week, we'll see pulses of W/SW and SW groundswell but only in the 2ft range or so at the peaks.

This will be generated by favourably tracking but weak polar frontal systems along the polar shelf.

The first pulse is due Wednesday afternoon to 1-2ft, followed by a secondary similar sized kick Thursday afternoon with favourable winds each morning, sea breezey into the afternoons. We'll have another look at this Monday though. Have a great weekend!
