Small to tiny surf continuing
Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 26th April)
Best Days: No great days
Features of the Forecast (tl;dr)
- Easing S swell tomorrow with W/SW tending NE winds
- Small N/NE windswell building Sun with strong N winds, easing Mon with SW tending S winds
Recap
Small waves Saturday with a drop in swell from Friday but yesterday some new mid-period S'ly swell kicked through the day with small waves for the keen.
Today we've got fun waves on the south magnets again with good conditions.
This week and weekend (Apr 27 - May 2)
The S'ly swell from today will ease back through tomorrow with fading 2ft sets max on the south swell magnets, tiny into Wednesday. Winds tomorrow will be light from the W/SW ahead of NE sea breezes, fresh NW on Wednesday.
Unfortunately there's nothing major on the cards for the rest of the week but moving into Sunday we're due to see some N/NE windswell as a cold front squeezes a strong high in the Tasman Sea. This should kick up 2ft+ waves through Sunday afternoon but with strong N'ly winds, clean Monday but easing from 1-2ft.
Longer term we may see a trough deepening into a low off the NSW coast next week, but we'll have to have a closer look at this on Wednesday and Friday
