Nothing significant until possibly late next week
Eastern Tasmania Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Wednesday 15th April)
Best Days: Early Thursday, Monday morning at south swell magnets
Recap
Fun easing S/SE groundswell from 3-4ft+ yesterday morning and then back from a smaller 2-3ft today under offshore winds.
This week and weekend (Apr 16 - 19)
Our current SE swell should continue to fade through this evening with only a very inconsistent and small 1-2ft wave due under fresh W'ly winds ahead of a weak S/SE'ly into the afternoon.
There's no swell then due until Sunday when a S'ly change pushes up past the coast, but no major size is due with south facing beaches building to 2-3ft into the afternoon along with onshore winds.
A drop in size is then due Monday from 2-3ft with better offshore W'ly winds.
Longer term we may see an East Coast Low forming off the Southern NSW coast mid-next week, generating some E/NE swell for us later in the week/following weekend but we'll have a closer look at this on Friday.
