Small peelers into the weekend
Central QLD Forecaster Notes by Steve Shearer (updated on Wed Aug 21st)
This week and next week (Aug121-Aug 30)
Central QLD: Small peelers into the weekend
A few small peelers on low tides.
Very spring-like synoptic chart with mobile high pressure moving NE through the Tasman and a N’ly flow across most of the eastern seaboard, SE-E north of Sandy Cape. There’s just enough strength in the tradewind flow through the central Coral Sea to see some small surf develop across the CQ coast. That should hold surf into Sat before easing.
Next week looks to go back to tiny/flat as very weak and mobile high pressure sits at a northwards latitude.
Lets see how it looks on Fri.
