Over the weekend a feature called Blood Surf was published in the Fairfax Press. It uses the story of a vicious and despicable assault in the surf at Snapper Rocks to discuss violence in surfing culture with the clear inference that this is a serious problem.

This coming weekend an amazing collection of surfboards, including one-of-a-kind boards from Bob McTavish, Terry Fitzgerald, and Mark Richards, will be sold at auction. Vintage surfboard collectors are in a tizz and they can thank Busselton Shire Council for the opportunity to buy. Swellnet spoke to the owner, Richard Hadley, about parting with his beloved collection.
