Airborne at The Cape
Conditions were almost perfect at Cape Solander during last Sunday's cyclone swell. Almost. The swell, as clean and strong as it was, had a touch too much north, and the low tide didn't arrive until later in the day. What that resulted in was a carpark full of rock jockeys watching squared up walls hitting waist high backwash. They went out anyway.
Dom Wills had one of the more acrobatic dismounts getting pommel horsed out of a gaping barrel onto the face. Tim Bonython caught it on video. This and all the highlights from the session will be shown at this year's Australian Surf Movie Festival.
