It's time to turn the tables, Jim Beam wants to give you money.

Rather then forking over your hard earned every Friday night, the crew at Beam are going to throw $75 000 at two lucky winners. The winning guy will receive $50 000 in cash and prizes, and the winning girl $25 000, which they can put towards next years WQS mission.

All you have to do is record a 60 second video of yourself surfing, plus a quick chat to camera selling yourself and you're in the running. You've got until the end of October to get it together.

From there 40 guys and 20 girls will be decide by online votes (hammer your friends!) then 15 finalists will attend the Jim Beam The Break surf camp in January.

The camp will feature free surfing displays, physical testing, media training and a marketing session before the overall winner is selected and awarded the big bucks in the break of a lifetime.

The Jim Beam The Break website is live now!

I remember reading an article in the newspaper about how Jim Beam pulled out of all sponsorship of sport and they were getting stuck into other brands like Bundy for not adherring to the same code. What is?

Dunno where you read that samson8or - Jim Beam has been sponsoring surfing events for the last ten years, of which they majorly upped the ante with this year's 'The Break' competition.

Hey Samson, Alcohol manufacturers are at risk of being kicked out of all professional sport advertising in Australia. Surfing present a grey area with many events not fitting the professional definition. Thats why you have seen brands such as Corona and Jim Beam push in there so hard over the last few years and why Jim Beam has pulled out of 'other sports'
