So how do we get one? This is from a Surfline story about another Tim, the one who was taken by a shark-"To make the situation worse, with Covid restrictions in place only Tim’s dad, Dave has been allowed to travel up the coast and see Katie. "
So it seems even his family were not allowed to travel to see his pregnant wife?

Beautiful morning extinguished by the noise and sound of jet skis. Thanks.

Pretty sick seeing all the boys having a real crack at some clean to nasty waves eh? C'mon, we all know Tim and his deal by now and the fact that skis are a part of surfing. Like it or not, I guess this is how it is, surfing is a popular pastime now and this is what comes with that.
The other side is comments often come from those not likely to partake, makes for a certain sentiment. A few keen heads and a ski are good safety margins for those actually out there among it. Seems they don't really mind by the look of it. Good on ya's I reckon.

It would be good to see T. B. get off the ski and catch a wave . Apparently he is / was a good kneeboarder. He has got the gold pass to wherever and all the machines to get him in. Enjoy all your footage, but even though i am a couple of years older than you i would find it hard not to grab the rope and test myself even on a smaller one . Keep up the good work.

Luck buggers.

understandable it's not an 'underground' wave but he could at least use more discreet angles instead of revealing the location. Crowding has been pretty high the past few years from all the instagrammers posting locations too.

agreed. even the damn bay from where they launched the ski was too much

Looks super heavy but most of the crew were able to handle it. How's Jarvis ringing his mum to ask her to bring him a new board after he'd broken both his boards?

I reckon a bit of respect for Tim is due. I grew up watching his vids and they inspired me hugely to travel and find waves. So many times when i've found utopia it's felt like one of his vids from the past. An Australian Surf Icon who's documented some incredible moments in history. I know theres always a downside to that but i bet he's inspired more crew and probably gotten more crew following their own dreams than the opposite.
Personally...thanks Tim!!
btw i do reckon there's no need for landscapes and telltale signs of the spots being shot. I've recognised a few spots purely because of these unnecessary additions.

Documenting is the word I would maybe use as well - even then - putting together a good documentary is an art-form. I find there is little to no art in these videos at all just the boring same same.
I want something beautiful to look at. The waves provide the beauty, but in these videos it just gets monotonous.
But I'm not taking images so what do I know.

That first day actually looked surfable, I’ve never seen a clip of Tim’s before where I thought that looks like I could make a few. Day 2 was back to me thinking yeah nah…
