Watch: Lost Track Atlantic // Episode 3
"Picking up from Episode 2, Torren and Ishka savour every minute of life in Northwest Africa, exploring some of the best right-hand points they have ever experienced and forming new friendships through a shared love of the ocean. As they venture further south into the depths of a disputed territory, sand storms, relentless winds and endless desert give time for reflection on the journey so far."
'Lost Track Atlantic' is made by needessentials, Torren Martyn, and Ishka Folkwell.

Best Advertisement for a Thruster I've ever seen.
I was wondering if he only had that long twin left... before he snapped it and pulled out another one lol.
Don’t know about a thruster but quad might have been nice, any way what nice waves & coastline
Epic! Loved every minute of it. Omar's got the life
Holy shit….they scored.
Conveying the feelings of a great adventure perfectly.
Any other time in my life and I’d be scratching to get to the airport.
The alter egos of peterson and naughton back in the day....great adventure by both duos

White Horses Winter 2021 turned up in the mail box the other day, now this...
will help with lockdown
Got it all......fantastic waves, amazing landscape and awesome music.............5 stars...
+1. tunes are so good!
Hhhhhollly fuck....who'd have thought there was an uncrowded Right-hander like that, anywhere left in the world!!! Enough said
Epic surf ~ adventure
*****
Easy 5 stars.
Highlights for me were:
Big right at 13:20
Big right at the end
Omar and his cliff side setup!
Moroccan colours and daily life
The easy and grace with which Torren and Ishka seem to almost float along
A really great film and nice start to my day.
Watched it last night after a dies horribilus, the worst day since this bastard lockdown began, and praise to Allah it put a big fucking smile on my face.
Had quite a few 'Worst Days Ever' these last two years. Hope you and the family are ok, Stu.
Cheers IB. Nothing overly serious.
Just that yesterday felt like an emotional bottleneck with all three kids realising their worst behaviours at once resulting in a homeschooling meltdown greater than the sum of the parts.
Anyway, new day, and they're currently all upstairs singing a horribly off-key version of Bob Marley's 'Three Little Birds' and I don't know if that's a good thing or another portent of hell.
They keep delivering some joy in current lockdown and flat spell - Many Thanks
Far out, that right at the end is off the hook. Equivalent of a solo session at 8ft Winkipop.
Equally as good was that early morning vision of Torren jogging back from the headland after seeing a set and realising what the day had in store.
For mine, little touches like that make LTA a great surf series.
I tried my hardest to critique it... I settled on continuity to pick at then I realised that the discontinuity was possibly (wishfully) a deliberate obfuscation of the timeline/geotags. Arghhhh, friggin' loved every second.
Totally agree, Stu, it's the little things that hit home. I was freaking out at the lines rolling through at the start of that scene and him running was exactly what I was doing in my head. Perfect.
Plus the rock-paper-scissors.
Echo the sentiments above.
Wathed on the big tele last night after a long hot day. Beer in hand, new mutt by my side on the couch, daydreaming of travel to distant lands and mind-surfing those beautiful waves.
Only thing missing was a spot of hash.
Two thumbs up.
Omar living a Moroccan version of 'Morning Of The Earth'.
Just a classic - loved the lot.
Soo wonderful that it made me sad for days gone and begrudge a 10km lockdown radius which is making the world seem really fucking small right now
That sequence from 10.30 let me relive a day from long ago, a not critical surf, waves to share and time to explore changing wave geometry and power bands.
Excellent...that right at the end!
Brilliant
Thought the surfing (timing) was exceptional, footage, edit same, music pretty much nailed it, geezas every thing to make it a classic.
Really enjoyed excellent work boys.
Would love to have an up close look at Torrens boards,
So refreshing after all the commercial crap we're fed these days. Took me back to roaming the earth in a van looking for surf.
Incredible clip as always and oh man, that final big right with no one out in such a foreign, empty landscape. That's as good as it gets! Insane..
Cant remember ever watching a surf film where the music suited what you were looking at on the screen so much.
So so good. loved it
Loved it.
Now back to the cage, eh I mean office. Office.
This collection of lost tracks is going to go down as one of the classics.
Best watched on a bigger screen, late evening when all is quiet and by yourself.
Reminds you of the peak experiences surfing can offer rarely found elsewhere in life.
Episode three as good as the first two. 10/10 again!
Iv'e seen and met many Aussies overseas where I'm ashamed to come from the same country, but these guys just immerse themselves and are thankful to be travelling in a new place and respect and embrace, and get to meet and spend time with real people who live there. And the surf is of course amazing but for me this series has the combination of the surf, the cultures and the travelling and meeting people along the way that makes this series a cut above the rest!
I second tango's words...
'This collection of lost tracks is going to go down as one of the classics.'!
I'll be watching the series again and again.
Yes I've had that Australian cringe many a time.
Just great that these film cut to what travelling and surfing should be all about.
superb !
Exceptional once again, waves, music, vibe. Loved it.
No wonder #vanlyfe is so popular these days... shame not all vanlyfers seem to show as much respect to local areas as these two
Hoping to be there this year. Scheduled. Will see. Things opening up here a bit, for now.
Another classic instalment in the Lost Track series. Like many have said above, these movies have got it all, unbelievably perfect waves, a great story that really captures the sense of adventure, they immerse themselves in the culture, the humble insightful narration and I love the fact that they use the locals music for each scene, which totally sets the exotic mood.
We’ll done guys, for me these have recaptured the essence of surfing that’s been lacking in surf movies for way too long. I put this series up there with the classics like Morning of the Earth.
So good, really needed to see that.. yep, series will go down as classic. What memories for those blokes!
Outstanding production. Had me hooked from the start. Sound track brilliant and classic laid back narration. I give it 5 stars.
Excellent in all aspects. Hard to believe that only last week one of our regular contributors found plenty to criticise. We won’t name names will we now Rooftop. Flabbergasted. He or she may have been having a ‘lockdown’ moment and failed to put brain into gear before finger touched keyboard.
Omar, one tough cookie. Torren in a steamer and booties, he’s in boardies. Water current is cold as well as Winter winds, midday temps 15-18c, sometimes 20c.. Again, reinforcing what others have posted, beautiful timing with music and filming. I could’ve watched it for hours if it went that long. Great work Scanlon, Martyn and Folkwell.
Can't think of a better surfer/filmmaker combo currently going round. Music and surfing synergy raised it up a notch. Brilliant.
Soulful, epic in everyway. Can't stop smiling after watching, listening and feeling such beauty. Such serenity, shared joy and pure stoke. Hats off to all involved. A real to tonic for lockdown times.
So many surfers buying and ordering mid length twinnies with channels lately Torryn started a twinny revival it seems.
These boys got the creative vibe....thanks for the entertainment fellas
Awesome video. He loves those mid length twins eh? Looks like a struggle in booties going forward then back sometimes. I suppose if you had to decide when travelling on one multipurpose size it fits the bill.
Second the thoughts above - if your reading the comments before you watch, please start cooking a Moroccan tagine and set up some dots and hot knives first before you press play.
What an absolute delight, thank you Torren and Ishka. Really gets those adventure juices flowing - shame its very tough to enact at this point in our lives.
Travel lightly, get to know the locals and their culture. Understated, softly spoken, what a couple of gentlemen.
For those who bag the twin thing, I urge them to have a closer look. Torren's ability is up there with the most elite in the world of surfing. He is not trying to wack it vertically, repeat........he is fitting in with the wave, which to my eye is much more beautiful to watch than 3 to the beach.
Well done lads. Hats off to Needs for sharing such a work of art and for free.
Good vibes all round.
The fourth and final episode of Lost Track Atlantic drops at 7:30 tonight. It includes some very surprising footage that was deliberately kept out of the trailer.
As usual, we'll have it on the site.
jeez a toss up cause the Block starts then as well ............
