Hi,

Me and the wife are arriving in Sydney next week for six weeks up the coast, and I want to know if I should pack my 3mm wetsuit?

I've had conflicting advice so far. Some say no (Warmest water of the year), some say yes (bluebottles).

What do you guys reckon?

If you've got a short arm springy or leggy you'll be fine.

Not sure about boardies.

I wore my 2mm short arm all the way until June or July around Sydney last year.

Need a bit of extra rubber if you head south and the southerlies up, but other than that you should be fine.

3mm, no way !! It's 24 degrees in the water here now, up north it's maybe even a tad warmer. boardies and a rashie is all you need to keep the sun and blueys off you.
