Epoxy Resin

Ive used araldite 2 part epoxy from the hardware store. You can put the lid back on and use it again an other time. Honestly i have no idea if this is ok and would be keen to hear some feedback.

Sorry, can't help on advice, but 500ml? That's a lot of resin to fix a ding.

Repair kits look to be the best value- Epoxys a prick to work with Use the Suncure in a tube if you can.

I've used the sun cure epoxy ding repair.

OK results but I'm the worst ding fixer on earth.

Just sun cure tube kit, if its bigger than a little ding for epoxy id get it professionally done.

There are 2 types of hardener, slow cure and fast cure.
For dings get fast cure.
It is also worth noting different brands of slow and fast cure hardener cure at different lengths of time.
I've glassed boards with slow cure Hawaiian epoxy from Burfords, cure time 20 minutes, the perfect amount of time for an amateur to wet out and squeegee the fibreglass .
Whereas Kinetix epoxy with slow cure hardener which Shapers sell takes 2 hours to cure, which is way too slow.

I've used aqua knead-it from Bunnings - good for small quick repairs on epoxy boards but you do have to put up with white/grey patch.

What Fr76 and indo said, did a minor one this arvo with regular sun cure. Pretty rough but it works. The oldest one I've done is on an old HK, that was 12 months ago and it's holding up fine.
If it was major I'd seek professional help (or retire the board).

Nothing like some desert dirt in your fix. I reset a fin once at Cactus and the dirt was in it for the rest of the poor boards days, that one ended up as garden ornament wedged in a tree. Then the dump.
