Thanks Supa, that's a neat summary.
I tabled the Samoa measles outbreak with Burleigh but I don't think he ever commented on it specifically.
Certainly with regards to vaccinating kids against polio, his response was "leave the kids alone", so I suspect he might have a similar point of view with measles.
And it once again shows that RFK is a crank and is not to be taken seriously.
You can't on one hand say you care about health and at the same time be an anti-vaxxer.
According to a study published by The Lancet, vaccinations have saved an estimated 154 million lives over the past 50 years.
Those 80 or so toddlers in Samoa would almost certainly still be alive if they'd been vaxxed.

Bullshit.
On multiple podcasts and interviews he's been clearly anti-vax, the anti-vax movement lies at the heart of his campaign and several of his campaign staff and consultants have worked for his anti-vaccine group Children’s Health Defense, whose website states misleading disinformation like "the parallel between rising disease rates and the increasing number of childhood vaccines is hard to ignore".

Maybe you should have a closer look at Offit and what he had to say about the covid vaccines , he copped a bit of heat over it as he was on the advisory committee for the FDA. ……. "I am not anti-vaccination," Offit answered with a laugh when WRAL Investigates asked him about his general stance. That said, he voted against the latest recommendations to open up the new booster to younger age groups……… Asked if he would give the bivalent vaccine to his children, Offit quickly replied, "No."
Offit points to three groups who SHOULD get the boosters — the elderly, the immunocompromised and those with high-risk medical conditions. https://www.wral.com/story/one-expert-recommends-that-parents-avoid-late...

1. There's two types of polio vaccines right?
There's the inactivated polio vaccine and there's the oral polio vaccine that contains weakened polioviruses and can rarely cause vaccine-associated paralytic polio.
After the introduction of inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) into Zimbabwe and Mongolia’s routine immunisation programmes, every country worldwide has now introduced the IPV vaccine.
2. Hep B vax for kids seems reasonable to me
3. If it wasn't required by work, I wouldn't have got the Covid shots. Though some people should get their shots plus boosters i.e. the elderly, the immunocompromised and those with high-risk medical conditions.

I think hep b vaccination is important for infants that are in certain countries , like Indonesia , my daughter was vaccinated for it ……... Indonesia experiences intermediate to high hepatitis B endemicity that varies between provinces[11] (Figure 1). In countries with a high prevalence of chronic hepatitis B infection, a higher proportion of carriers are infected during infancy or early childhood; historically, 25%-50% of chronic infections in these countries are caused by vertical mother-to-infant perinatal transmission. Surveys of pregnant women in Indonesia have shown prevalence rates between 3% and 8%. This phenomenon generates high potential for perinatal transmission from carrier mothers to their babies[12]. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4997646/

I do think Kennedy has some good intentions and believe a cleanup of the FDA , CDC ect is long overdue . Corruption has been an ongoing virus in the FDA , NIH , CDC for way too long . Early in the peace when various reporters were saying all sorts of things about Fauci and the origins of covid , my initial thought was if these accusations aren’t true , then why isn’t he suing the fark out of them ? He seems to have slipped off into retirement untouchable. Be interesting to see what Kennedy comes up with when it comes to Fauci . I think the problem is way bigger than Fauci though, he’s just one part of a system that is out of control .

Discovered a new genotype of HBV – HBV/C4. This genotype is unique to Aboriginal Australians in the NT and its surface protein is different from other HBVs. As a result, we will conduct studies to determine whether the vaccine given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander infants is as effective as first thought.

I love the picks but questionable on RFK but i really dont know enough about his views to have a too strong opinion, media can mislead at times on how they frame people and their views.

Republican voters who pissed and moaned about drag storytime "grooming kids", which is silly, are now conspicuously quiet regarding Matt Gaetz, the sex trafficker of underage girls, being fingered by Trump for attorney general.

Which he denies and has not been found guilty. Are you an Idiot?........ Don't answer that.

Drag story time with kids is 100% messed up.

What's so messed up about it? What are you threatened by poor fool

Grown adult men dressing up as women to read books to young vulnerable children? Nah nothing, that's completely normal human behaviour.

Vulnerable children?? Wtf?? U ever had kids? What were they Vulnerable to?? Typical rightwing hysterics.

Burleigh, you’re spot on regarding this trans extremism. It needs to stop.

Please elaborate on this alleged "trans extremism". I haven't seen it personally. Seems like something made up by the same people that would've been scared of gay people in eras past, and probably still are tbh. wtf is trans extremism? lolol

Also, many drag queens aren't even trans. It's performance art, darling!

All I’m saying is there is absolutely no need for adult men dressing up as women and reading book to young children. What can’t you see the issue?

What about adult men dressed up as clowns. Is that ok?
