OK so looking at project 2025 policy - which may have strong influence on Trump - predict just like last election that policy won't shift too much on defence and China:

https://www.project2025.org/policy/
https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_CHAPTER-04.pdf

Europe will be asked to provide more of it's own defence re: Russia. Other allies will be asked to step up, eg in Pacific. All of this is already happening.

Now what will go on within the govco departments, that will be interesting! A Millei on a grand scale incoming.

Kind bogan with degree here.

Southern, I'm not particularly thrilled with Trump winning but your statement above leaves me even less thrilled. Earlier I posted a comment how recently I had a very pleasant exchange with an 18 year old, educated, informed and intelligent woman of colour from Alabama who just happened to vote for Trump in step with her friends.

Those broad brush statements probably have something to do with why Kamala lost.

Surely you can see that.? Or not?
Clearly a broad sweeping statement regarding the people of those states, especially when the margins aren't huge,...but obviously and clearly the majority of the people in those places...are fucking morons., but surely you can connect the dots of what i'm saying.

OK here's another snippet from NYP feed, some intelligent analysis by Van Jones. Those of you wondering at the result and the type of people who voted for Trump, take heed:

"CNN’s Van Jones says ‘shock’ election results signal a ‘political realignment’
By Victor Nava
CNN political commentator Van Jones argued Wednesday that the results of the 2024 presidential election favoring former President Donald Trump constitute a “political realignment.”

“This is a shock,” Jones said of Trump’s all-but-certain victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.

“The Republican Party can claim to be a multiracial, working-class party ... that is a shock,” he added.

Trump, 78, made massive gains with Hispanic and Black voters this election – particularly among males and in swing states – compared to his 2020 totals, exit polls show. "

I have a curious urge to want to know if for any reason that played any part in people’s view of what a political leader should be.

When these are the kind of people that get you over the line, and you know what kind of supporter base follows them.....i say disaffected priveleged white males wiith a very strong emphasis on the sarcasm of 'disaffected'.

So for the majority of Americans to brush all what trumps guilty and accused of , to brush all that aside tells me there’s a degree of desperation and frustration . The dems promising to fix what they have created wasn’t cutting the mustard and the risk of more of the same was greater than the unknown , that possibly could give them a better chance . Musk has his motives I’m sure and his obsession with getting to mars will be a smoother ride when he clears out sections of the government that regulate what he does . Just watching Trump’s victory speech when he said that Bobby had a free reign to do what he needed to do but leave the oil & gas alone Bobby . Trump really needs some help in this department from advisors but I doubt he would listen .
