hi all. heading to south-western sri lanka in january. got a few spots in mind that look amazing, I've never been before.

the big question is - do i take my board and fins? the 3 week trip is probably 50% about surf, 50% not. I am unsure about hiring a decent, firm boadyboard and decent fins over there.

any advice? thanks all :)

Take your own board. A 21 day trip with a potential 10 days of waves and you are going to gamble on whether someone will have suitable hire equipment? Transport via tuk tuk and private vans is cheap and easily available. I’ve done a couple similar trips in Sri Lanka with surf and sightseeing components with a double board bag. Easy enough and worthwhile when you get good waves on your own gear
