Classic - bump up the fake terror narrative so the boys can get taxpayer funded toys and a nice salary to keep us safe from foreigners stealing our set waves. good to see Victoria's tube security being policed, perhaps the pokies or pollies come right and i can land a gig like that. surfing for the nation, back in the day we had Bob Hawke's army today Turnbull has surfers outside the law but mighty professional!

yea fireys definitely shouldnt take the truck to maccas. they should either go without meals and breaks for the whole day like most people do or walk the 2km down from the station and then quickly run back if they get a call. 2km should be done in around 3 minutes by those fit bastards. especially on an empty stomach.

As a commercial boat operator , I can tell you first hand it isnt just the water police abusing taxpayers maritime assets,,,, fisheries departments , maritime authorities and even rescue services have often used official craft for what can only be described as less than official work,.. Ive also seen plenty of surf lifesavers flip the clubs duckies/jetskis while skylarking off duty, and then expect the community to replace the damaged engines. But for cops to use a boat like that for their own personal activities, it should be a more serious matter. And if youve ever been randomly boarded at sea by a fully armed pack of these overzealous nitpickers , you wouldnt have any sympathy either.

Those guys don't get paid much or they donate their time for free - can't they have a little bit of fun?

I can see the funny side of it too, and personally I feel better knowing at least one bloke protecting our coast is a surfer , but would it be also ok if they took the wives/girlfriends whalewatching , or perhaps a drunken fishing trip for the boys?
