Surfing in Perth in the Summer
What about it? Small swells and windy conditions are better suited to kiteboarding, but there are sometimes windows of opportunities.
Most of the opportunities are several hours flying or driving time away unfortunately.
What you want to do Davey, if you long for the days of solitude surfing , is go online at Realestate.com and find the block of land for sale at Martha Lavinia beach on King Island - 500 acres with a kilometre of beachfront at one of the best Beachies you'll ever lay eyes on.
I passed cause I can't handle the cold - for all the daydreams of lonely beach walks , finding ambergris and catching dinner opposite your beach shack, the harshness of a southern winter would ruin me.
Get yours Dave !
$650 grand btw....cheap as fuck considering.
PS regards Perth, mate it's a shit show even if it wasn't the most crowded joint on Earth.
You'll have to just deal with it.
You're best bet would be The Ocean Beach Hotel.

I reckon with the way the climates heading that neck of the woods is going to come into its own :)
Not so sure Rabbits, they're calling for MAYBE a 2 degree change in a millennium or some such.
It'd have to be about twenty degrees warmer for me to handle it.
Apparently the December mean maximum is 17 degrees .....wow.
Similar to the way Linda Evangelista doesn't get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day then I don't get out of bed for less than 25 degrees.
That's a bummer Blowin, if only.....
I've read there's tropical fish swimming around those parts these days!! It's a crazy world.
Sorry Davy, back on topic, don't worry about the sharks mate, believe it or not they were even there when you used to surf!! Watch those pedestrian crossings up there tho, now there dangerous.......
Nice one Davy!! That sounds like a plan well executed :)
You sound like your in good spirits despite the trials & tribulations . Keep it up mate, good things are coming your way!!
Hey Davey2PostswayBack.
Don't start doing the "whirly gig trick kind of stuff" with your wettie to fool the wifey champ.
Be true to yourself and wifey and lifey is great;)
Perth is Australian surfing's biggest joke. SAs Mid Coast is better, let alone Dribs and the South Coast. Then again, one of the best waves in the whole state is only an island and short boat hop away. Apparently.
