Shark Stories
A surfer has been hit, killed and disappeared by a fifteen-foot Great White at Granites, twenty clicks out of Streaky Bay, South Australia, seven hundred clicks north-west of Adelaide.
Mainstream media is reporting a man has been “seriously injured” but they ain’t even close.
The surfer, whose name we can’t release, was waiting for a set out the back at Granites, a long and friendly lefthander, when the Great White attacked, leaving only his board and the stub of his legrope.

Fark, so heavy. Poor guy.
Shit, what a way to go.
That’s fucking hectic.
Shark Attack breakthru anomaly is exclusive to #1swellnet.
Crew's ongoing research is ever dedicated to fellow ocean lovers taken by sea.
This entry may present large & tbb has little control over such as it's new to all.
Can fasttrack to first (*)
tbb wishes to thank #1 swellnet / crew for rewarding breakthru observations.
There was a time where one could easily cease due to online trolls...this crew will be rewarded.
Credit goes to those painstakingly & equally dedicated to observing & sharing our ocean majesty.
tbb has been isolated from ocean due to ill health...#1 swellnet crew is a vital lifeline...Salute!
Here today tbb will prove just how vital that bond of sharing is to all ocean goers.
You will read B&W sensibility as this is an intro paper not got the time for semantics.
If tbb calls somethin' don't cry...gotta be blunt about any nuance...it is what it is...suck it up.
We're just trawling thru the basics of how Line ups work in the real world...
All will be romantically re-imagined by yuppie folk in years to come...
This being a rough trade alt pioneering doc only...if ya cool with that...then read on!
Up until now we couldn't get a fix on this & even now pop culture editing is culling knowledge base!
Also owe an apology to Drone / Selfie operators that at first seem to attack or hinder rather than help.
Despite best intentions, are renowned more for exploitative ocean breaches or as mop up crews.
However! Inshore migration behaviour traits are fast being outed & shared by mass inshore tech crews.
Sure! As said...in some fucked up contrived version but it's enough to tick off a few boxes...Massive!
(*) Story start's here : Way of the world drives Natural Instinct.
Simply wade into yer local pond life & watch how pond life instantly withdraw a safe measured circle.
Now toss in a slice of bread & watch how pond life instantly circle and cloak the Floating Object!"
For that matter plenty of Shark attacks happen instantly on person falling or jumping into turbid water
That's the law of nature...Predator forging into Ocean or inert on the surface as a magnet or meal.
Much drone vision emerging of large sharks retreating as unaware Surfer moves towards them...
Ok! Simple lesson on a worldly scale...
Scientific fact that equal / opposing reaction of land / sea / nature is kept in balance by building blocks.
70-90% of all life is regenerated at the surface of all Ocean force Flux points...
Stop & think thru history > Migrations by Tide / Air currents
70% of Pop gravitate by trade wind now cutting thru faster shallow massive Equatorial Tidal Estuaries.
70% of each nation congregate at E bay ports as does 70% of Life / Oxygen regenerates in flux zones.
(Please note) tbb exhausted 100's popular www images / intel for these next claims (Not scientific!)
3 main observations were dominant above all else...(Scientific 'Observations' support this...not fact!)
* Southern Hemisphere bait stock swim clockwise...(We see mouths gaped to suck in oxygen + Food)
* Supposedly last 15 minutes but east coast Bait balls travel up the coast hanging 3 days at a time.
* Schools even Sharks surf waves into lineups where 80% of ocean life Phytoplankton brews.

https://content.api.news/v3/images/bin/c6c5fa496f65e399a33a7ebf7c6769e0?...
* Bait balls hub wave break zones...larger days off shore storm banks > Small surf toward shoreline.
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/v5OYG6SGlIo/maxresdefault.jpg
* Schools surf outer / inner shoulders of larger waves > surfing closer in smaller waves upon shores.
https://outbackjoe.com/macho-divertissement/fishing/how-to-catch-austral...
* As bait balls are hunted nearer the shore they bundle tighter by Weather / Bathymetry / Shelter
Recap the intro about wading into the Ocean or being inert on the surface in 80% traffic lane of life.
Totally unnatural for intelligent life forms to inertly hub & float disengaged in these Flux zones.
tbb has shared how inshore Ocean deforestation led to plagues of Weeds spawning Junk food krill.
As a result this invasive lowly nutritious krill results in more obese / diseased ridden mammals.
Ocean critters come closer to eat more junk & treat themselves at latest inshore Detox Therapy Clinics.
Meaning each new Ship / Craft / Pillar / Pier / Buoy / FAD / Reef proves more effective for invasive relief.
Endless emergency clinics for outpatient sea critter Surgery / Internal parasites / dental / exfoliation.
Sea critters often track to motion any caring human for assist to remove Hooks / Trackers / Rope.
With the help of techies tbb can now intro an interactive inshore Sea stock Table.
Far as tbb knows...we can lock this in as #1 swellnet exclusive...(Vital intel for boardriders above all)
Meaning : If crew think they're being unfairly put in the frame...Well! Yer about to learn why that is!

[ 0:53] Watch how GWS ploughs thru with "No visual" to what lies beyond Bait Ball (eg: a Surfer!)
Notice how shark has zero control of speed... just a blind folded bulldozer charging at will.
tbb is demonstrating how bait balls can hide a surfer from Shark...Bite ends up in either Surfer or Foam!
Bait fish repeat their Matador cape dance to lodge Bulls Horns / Sharks teeth in surfer...
Bait ball has just bought enough time to Swim well free of Shit Show without care of innate prop.
It's not that Shark wrongly identifies...more to the point is unaware of Bait fish hiding a red herring!
6m > Seals whip thru faster than Humans & can surf almost as well...(Usually power thru at pace)
5m > Swimmers are slower but have wild active array + can out surf a restrictive seal (Fish know this!)
Notice how Overarm stoke buys for Frontal / side clearance...massive area compared to waders.
What's important with Human's > Fish will crowd over & around but seldom if ever underneath!
This being at odds with Dolphin / Boardriders where fish mostly swim under. (Very Telling difference!)
Slow Shark has less excuse when attacking ocean swimmers (Faster shark would plough thru!)

0m > For shoreline Bait Balls > Bundled & cornered by predators
? m = (Refer to Laws of Nature) Inert (Surfboard) critters are drawn to by default.
(Not part of Ecosystem but exploited by sea creatures.
* Boats / Boards / FADS as Inshore Health Clinics to treat most parasitic infections
* Rescue Pontoon for exhausted prey (Seals)
* Shelter from Sun in an empty sea.
* Shield from fast approaching predators Sharks
* Shelter from Diving Birds.
* From a lone surfer > Lineup of Boardriders conjoin as force shield from at sea / aerial assaults.
* Fish can advantage longer Lulls of set times for larger & further offshore Shark Shield
* Leggie skimming inshore burley to pool for extended lull > Life's most nutritious cloak of Shark bait
* Surfers pool & harbour 3x more antibiotic resistant E coli in their Arses / Guts! (No Camping zone!)
In a world of 90% Life force any disengaged innate floating object is first & foremost a Shark Shield.
Either embrace Ocean Majesty whole or pool as a #1 food bank for endangered predators!
Boardriders have an underlying factor...
* Boardriders beyond the Wave / swell zones can unconvincingly spread bait fish up to 2m.
Clear to see that Fish view boardriders as some inert dinky bath toy with spinning arms.
In no way engaging with Ocean Majesty Life Force...simply a prop to be exploited as a shield.
https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/01/01/article-1103870-02ECE0F100000...
* Boardriders in Lineup are unlikely to to split the pack as Fish are attracted to impact / shoulder.
In this case one can see if a shark attacked from any side or beneath > Boardrider is collateral.
* By default the boardriders surf in the thick of Shark herded "Inshore shallow Baitballs"
* Note reports of Surfers falling onto Shark/s at end of ride, seemingly with them!
* Shark Drone observers note a similar Circular return surfing pattern
* Seemingly driving shoreward into shallows when attacking
* Whereas a Diver can freedive all day in a sea of deeper baitballs
Boating
At sea Shipping now host millions of birds delaying / detouring migrations by Avg 45mins + o/n
Inshore FADs hosting more life forces would delay increasing number of migrations for shorter times
Small visiting dinghy hosts 100 birds > Droppings > Shadows on Surface > Shark leaps > one less!
Note this boat shares Bait fish zone > This small vessel could host a wildlife kingdom in this surf break!
Think of it as a Red Hot alive Surf Taxi stoking life source into yer line up...tough paddle back.

Calculating rapid migration shift estimates would assist to gauge peak season impact on mega fauna.
tbb is exampling how a boardrider is utilized as makeshift > bunker / rescue deck / landing Pad.
The commotion brings the Boys to the Yard...
Prey simply crowds surfer...shark lunges > Little fishies scram & cops a mouthful of foam, flesh'n'bone.
Here's an example of how a similar small hull vessel orchestrates a biblical battle zone
Just replace the Hull with a wafer thin surfboard biscuit & Bingo...exact same smashing by sea critters.

Top 10 : Why Sharks Target Boardriders.
* Boardriders most often surf Floods Pathogens / Wastewater Outfalls / Bait Balls
* Back of a High Tide run out Wastewater stoking up Breakwall Slabs as the Boys arrive at the mouth.
* Legropes Pool 3x more bio resistant E coli that surfers pool & sit in, then spread thru community
* Sharks suss out & trace trailing Leggie Soup & track it back to Surfer's Glowing Soup Kitchen
* Schools of Fish exploit Surfboards as foils from Sun / Weather / Sharks / Birds
* Doubtful any Shark Shield signal Device would penetrate walls of Fish locking in boardriders.
* Surfboards host and shelter most micro fauna > inshore schools for longer combo periods.
* Poly Toxic #1 micro / macro fish hubs are harbouring migrations & attracting Mega Fauna.
* Shoreline Washing of said Toxic Fish Sticks / Wetties regurgitates more green slime to fuel Lineups.
* Crabs pick & spread Broken board foam suffocating inshore fauna > erosion up ends > attracts Sharks
For Boardriders
# Obviously Boardriders are most at risk in bait balls & need to clear out faster than any crew!
Ironically the Flag waders have 2m Bait Shields > Swimmers 3-4m > Boardriders = Zero
# Apple Watcher with Bait Ball Sounder....5>4>3>2>1 Here come the Grey Army > Outta here!
Think the best of these max out at 150-200m - may need a drone kicker x Speed of inbound Bait ball
# Keep in touch with Local Fishos about Bait Balls.
# Boardriders could stake Flagged sea bed claims thru the Line up to fool the fish that they exist?

Yes! Hell yes! tbb ever did the opposite & flew with the birds to pluck WOTD from the cloud bank.
But tbb never strapped on a Seaworld Porpoise Pool reserved for sharks!
Pause to think...one can see almost forever that in turn shines within ourselves!
Who on earth would shield out 46.5 billion year majestic feeling with each wave...ultimate cruelty?
That be why the Fish feel no connect with Toxic Slabs so innocently feed them to the Shark God!
Boardrider's Sharky Progress Report...
Further research has outed 2 more scenarios that play out time again...
* "Was just sitting out the back Waiting!" = tbb can actually Translate this to mean (5 mins+)
* "Only just Paddled out to sit up...then bang!" = tbb can Translate that to mean ( instant)
Yes...'so far' as amazing as it seems...these are two common realities...exactly why tbb is sharing!
Correct...these keep coming up to stoke up tbb's last study paper above.
Promise! tbb is not shaping the narrative...just woteva google spits out is being fed out here!
Meaning this research ain't that fruitful for tbb or any to contrive...hard to dig out!
eg: Pro Surfers...
Beth was "Out the Back patiently waiting for waves..." lying across her board with arm dangling."
Mick : "I had camped in same up point J Bay Spot for 5mins & was about to move on...Bang!"
Several other Worldly examples of this very same timelapse.
Here's the current Shark smart tips for boardriders until we can lock in more data...
1. When paddling out to (Middle Break / Main Peak)
(a) Don't paddle straight out unabated into lineup
(b) Try to stop or break up yer paddle : Dip yer Leggie Soup Laddle > on way out.
(c) Never come to a halt & Sit in Apex break Zone...> Turn away & paddle across from shoulder!
(d) Important not to trawl / chum the inside burley out into sweet Spot ...(See next)
(e) The blending of inside chum with the sweet spot > brews an Exotic blend that Invites the Shark
(f) Never ever leggie loop a 'Bait Trail' back out thru the lineup to chum the sweet spot.
(g) Crew must never Gravy train a Bait Slurry conveyor belt to hot wire yer Dayglow lineup...SHARK!
(h) Never stoke a lineup like this on the back of a High Tide to lure in the Shark from afar...
2. "Was just sitting there waiting...!" ( Never just sit in world's #1 Life Cycle )
(a) Sitting out 'One Set' away from Peak is Ok
(b) Two sets (5 mins) affords fish to hub yer board...( By accounts : Officially Shark Bait )
(c) Either Jump off yer Board to clear yer critters.
(d) Paddle briefly away & abruptly sit (Clear yer Paylode) > Then paddle back or near if ya must.
(e) Can even pop or Flick yer Board to clear yer guppies!
(f) Simply paddling around won't clear yer problem it just follows you.
(g) Failing to clear yer lot only grows larger by the minute.
(h) Burley Gravy train need not be visual > just enough to chum the shark into attack mode.
3. Out the back!
(a) Don't trawl Sweet Spot Juice from Middle Hot Spot > Outer Bank Peak
(b) Repeat the sit up rule (Half Way) to break up yer Leggie trawled Shark Food chain
(c) Again...try to steer wide > Sit > then back to claim yer Outer peak! (Each second set!)
Summary...the idea is for surfers to throw sharks off the scent...
All too easy for crew to hot wire burley thru whole Inner > Mid > Outer lineup...
Each Grom trawls Hodads like turtles...to the Honey Pot...Wot!
Is that Shark Smart?...well durr! All cool with that!
OMG! Just whistle for the Shark will ya!
Yep! Crew all know...Shark comes alive to yer Hot Spot & will bully you out or take you out.
In other words...don't surf up a shit storm that stirs up the Grey Army.
Each surfer slime-balls the last > whipping up a Glowing Green Gravy Train...Shark is lickin' it's lips!
Just skate down yer local shower of power fungal slide...'Oh that ol' Green Fluro slippery dip!'
Well that's where Huey spills his Lime Green Breaka Milk Shake...whips up Sharks into a frenzy.
Be Shark Smart...If yer on a good wicket...throw the Shark off the scent...got it!
All here are well aware that Human (vs) Beast are fighting for same Honey Pot.
Crew are smart enough to out fox the Shark from the prize!
Surfers often play down a Secret Spot by Surfing Poorly or Bitchin' about it...exactly like that!
Like...wind's not gonna swing 'round today...tides all wrong...best ya all pack it in now...losers!
If not...wise up to the warning signs of what Shark victims are saying... that's rolled gold advice!
Repeat...tbb is no expert but the above observations keep repeating enough to take stock!
Pre attack "Observation" is actually rare as near all attention is focused on "Horror / Heroism!"
tbb is not saying that's a bad thing but do know this much for sure...
If surfers were to share a Timetabled Map of moments before...we'd be Miles ahead with mitigation.
Easy for tbb to say...doubt if many want to relive the Horror or associate > copping a Media backlash!
tbb gets that & respects people's privacy...we just gotta look longer & harder for better answers.
Huge thanx to those victims & crew that share...can't be easy & we do treasure & value your insight.
Right here & now your sharing is of immense worth.
Crew can see tbb is targeting free & natural simple-safe awareness before blowin' more big smoke!
Reckon we're doin' Ok here...plenty of options & making some decent free spirited strides forward.
As said...tbb is not well but can push on where it counts...happy to share new Sharky observations.
Not healthy to spend too much time on tragedy...will take stock & keep that in mind!
thanks tbb. interesting.
Cheers frog...Yes! It is even more interesting that we might soon link in swimmers.
Same raw prawns keep lighting up the charts...so it may not just be Boardrider'z bad luck!
Just jumped in or was Treading water (5 mins) in the deep + Swimming 5mins Trailing Burley!
Crew can see a pattern is emerging for both swimmer / boardrider alike.
Be a while but tbb will out the Spear / fishers game & reckon it's similar.
eg: Just dived in to check anchor or Feed the Dolphins...that was last thing he did..
Do we rubber stamp the Bucket List [X]
Now ya know why...that for 1,000 years the locals toss sand or pebbles in first...well durr!
First Nation interactive sea creature custom may yet prove as vital missing pieces in the puzzle.
Sharks have ancient ways & we keep fast tracking like there is no tomorrow...we must take stock!
Exactly...Ancient most lively battlefield & Playground roll together as one...that's Huey's raw deal.
We're dealing with Mother Nature's most complex lifecycle...we gotta get up to speed to chill.
There are no easy answers...we must timetable Blue Planet's most majestic lifecycle for all to share.
Sooner we get started, the safer for all us sea serpents to surf the Pleasure dome.
tbb is scanning out Peak intersections & seeking refuge points & pit lanes along #1 Lifecycle.
No one wants inevitable bans & lock downs so Surfers gotta take control before Ai Aquabots zap us!
Get off yer high sea horses & pretend you muck rake the line up...tbb means that...
No longer can boardriders ride white horses thru the paddock...get down & get dirty or lose it.
Hot tip...them Drone vidz showing GWS + Boardriders sharing Line-ups speak volumes...but why!
tbb doubts any can explain that...we can't ride our luck & second guess as to why...
Trial > Drone dusting of sand or attractant to see if Shark reacts...not torture but to clear of test lineup.
We know sharks time bird migrations to pluck low flying stragglers leap to Bat roosts & spy shoreline.
So we know that Drones can mitigate on many other levels other than visual.
Also checking on Drone shadows...tbb swears there is similar Shark reaction with Bird shadows!
Like a Drone may not deter a Shark but tbb noticed a Drone's menacing shadow may distract a shark.
Absurd unintentional folly must not be overlooked...solutions are often enough found as byproduct!
Kinda like moths flock to search lights...fish are attracted by above shadows...see what tbb is saying!
Could a drone "deep / broad shadow" attract then slowly pilot a school of fish along with the shark?
Just saying...costs next to nothing to try! Be worth a trick to refine it for research reason!
Opening up a Stinky bait pack paradox...we must first humbly serve Majesty in order to live freely!
Gromz gotta soak up Huey's Sloppy Weet Bix for their free ride or 100 laps in Roary's Wavepool.
Crew are wise enough to read into that...respect Huey's bouncers or no disco ball for yer divas!
GWS Voice Reffo...no need to Vote as Bruce will do that for you...[X]
All say aye! No arguments here!
There is cruise mode that stays cruisey
Then there is cruise mode which seems a bit more purposeful but changes in an instant:
The difference?
A guess would be that the shark hitting the seal knew it was in the right place for seals and then saw exactly what it was looking for.
A game of snap. It sees the cards match and clicks into instant attack. Not a match, no happy snappy.... mostly.
If a surfer had paddled out from the rocks instead of the seal, it might have gone straight in for a hit if first glance looked seal like. If it looked weird in shape or a bit bigger than normal prey, it probably would probably have hesitated and taken more time to check it out.
Frog is right on the money to bring that to the table...another world it is.
There's another larger overriding factor at play...it's inbuilt in our DNA.
Crew know of it and live it.
Surfers take more risk than all other outdoor folksie types...without doubt!
There is no denying this fact for better or worse.
tbb has uncovered quite a few reports of known GWS in the line up.
Yet same or mates simply go straight back out to exact same impact zone & get attacked.
We all see TV news of boardriders ignoring Shark Sirens & Beach Closures by default.
Now before ya say but...tbb knows what ya thinking...we live double lives.(Good & Bad in everyone!)
Think about this fact...
Surfers make lousy athletes...sitting on arses for 5 minutes + Dead from the waist down.
They also make lousy rule followers...But BIG but! That's not to be mistaken for their worth! Never!
Outside of Rescue crews...Surfers are the most capable to spring into action & rescue people...(Plural)
Any here would back their local surf buddie to haul them outta trouble in a flash...takes a special breed.
#1 Gladiators when a life is on the line...others say it's all over..outta my way...Surfer saves the day!
Breakie telly...Surfie rescued the crew & punched out a dozen sharks without spilling his Stubbie!
Surfie : "Yeah but I never meant to hurt the Sharks & besides, me Stubbie went warm!" OMG! Legend!
tbb has saved a few & bets crew have saved many more lives again...no room on TV for another Surfie!
Also know & bet that...ya all willingly placed yer lives in equal or greater danger.
Around sharks > Heavy Surf > Rips > Rocks > Stingers > Surfboards > During Searches...the lot!
All just put yer hands up for that without signing off...ya did & all know ya did...go wild about surfing!
Expert Shark rescues > Big Seas rescues...Flood rescues ...Bushfire rescues...swellnet lifeline...on & on.
Just saying for better or worse...Surfer's higher risk level must be factored into any Shark mitigation.
Somehow break the mould of bullet proof Surfers that Kick Flip GWS...Like who does that? WTF.
We may sort Shark behaviour but then how to advise wild cards to call smoko...never gonna happen.
This represents as a spanner in the works as much research is being geared toward Boardriders.
But boardriders are less beachgoer types & more Predatory like the Sharks they go 10 rounds with.
So what works for SLSA Seachange Real Estate may not sit well with half sea serpent Boardriders.
Somehow gotta unlock & exploit common Shark Attack trait between placid Swimmer & wild Surfer
We need to timetable lifecycles of Ocean Divers / Waders / Swimmers / Paddlers / Fishers / Predators.
Now more than ever we have the means to fasttrack an Inshore Lifecycle Timetable...not tbb...others!
Surf / Tide Forecast Foundation builds to timetable predators with more precise seasonal intel.
On land...We all instinctively know to leave which dangerous beast/s alone, where & at what time.
Who here is brave enough to walk the kids to school past that tree...we all know which tree & not me!
Just a little bird in one tree...so not today & not again tomorrow...Ma Nature : "All in good time! Son!"
Town all know when that time comes...coz we walk the other side of the road until such time passes.
Whole town naturally forgot to mark what crucial time that was but all recall next season. *#%! Duck!
Even when we know we choose not to know until it's too late...again! More sharing is caring = Majesty.
The first episode of Blue Planet 3 is interesting, there's the shippies footage but also GW's in South Africa hunting fur seals. There's a few of them in a small area, and seals run the gauntlet from rocks to deep water, easy to pick off. Alone they are vulnerable but when the seals group together they start to harass a lurking GW, it doesn't like the attention and starts to head out to sea pursued by seals that are easily within striking distance. Unusual to see a big shark being intimidated, clearly behaviour which the seals have learnt over time.
I remember seeing footage a few years back from the Great Aust. Bight of a GW attacking a seal and tossing it up in the air in an almighty explosion only for the seal to get angry and chase the huge bastard for about 100 meters as it hastily retreated.
"I can typically find a Great White in 2 minutes" - says Scott Fairchild, a California based drone camera operator.
Not sure what happened before the footage starts but this vision of an Orca coming up below a Whale Shark and slurping out it’s liver is freaky.
https://divemagazine.com/scuba-diving-news/orca-attacks-adult-whale-shar...
I couldnt actually see that footage you note Distracted.
But if the reporting is correct, and they regularly knock of '17 whale sharks in a day', then that's got to be a real threat to whale shark populations doesnt it? Assume those large whale sharks are very old. The Orca's taste for liver would seem a big threat to whale shark survival, or maybe that's just a 'sustainable' level of culling...
Shark attack today at Pt Noarlunga on the SA mid coast. Hopefully nothing too serious.

^blimey! would have stuffed a few people's 40-degree Satdy at the beach, hope she's ok.
^^ GreenJam, I had to watch a few times, the orca appears to be chewing at the WS's kidneys near the beginning of the clip...

Re the attack at Pt. Noarlunga, some reports say she was free diving in deep water on the outside of the reef where few people venture, others say she dived off the jetty inside the reef into the jaws of the shark and children witnessed the horrific attack. So what really happened?
Wasn't the second version Ms Primrose Whyte at Brighton Jetty in 1926?
jeez they are keeping it quiet
thermalben wrote:Wasn't the second version Ms Primrose Whyte at Brighton Jetty in 1926?
Haha, yep. Locals are saying this was a freediver outside the reef... but, man, bitten on the head..
Outside the reef sounds more likely, the abc report above said inside, by the jetty after she jumped off, the media are hopeless when in a frenzy for a good story.
I was crabbing in my kayak at Moana early in the week and two small bronzies were sniffing around my nets. First time I've seen any but I still managed to bag a dozen huge fat sandies and a rare bluey in about an hour. Cheers.
thanks basesix and Distracted - got it. Gee, there doesn't seem to be any resistance from the Whale Shark. Surprising. They'll be doomed if they dont put up a fight

ha, can see Bam Margera paddling one through an orca pod.. maybe not..
Florida Pier jumping anyone? Pretty much would be hit in 10 seconds at this one. So much sea life, so many sharks. Sea life loves structure.
Frog that is insane! Life is thriving under there.
I’m guessing they don’t jump off piers over there like people do here?
I checked out a couple of Aussie vids of gopro cameras dropped off jetties - Nourlunga and Port Lincoln - good news - no sharks....

He (or she) has been seen a few times in the Shoreham area over the last two months.
A big one too.
Breaching as well. What a showoff.

Not sure, relying on locals that launch tinnies from the beach, it follows them sometimes, not a GW
There’s been lots of sharks spotted over the years on the ocean side of west head, pretty much every reef surfed at Flinders and towards and including the Schanck, big MFers. Just don’t speak to the local abalone divers, man the stories they can tell you about sharks …
there's a hella regular shark over at port macdonnell, a short-tail/smooth stingray. crusty old battle-scarred beast... one of the many hoovers we have in ports over here, gotta be 2.5m across. amazing to see the sea floor shift under the port mac jetty in the evening, in 6 feet of water, and realise it is the goonie.

yeah that was a shithouse watch
It was a sad sad laugh when I saw that on TV. They should sell them on Global Shop Direct or at Aussie Post.
Ha, peace of mind at best eh,
Meanwhile the good old West is using the HEADLINE ....."Shark Attack"
hectic VJ. I wonder what if it was a pointer.
A few interesting stories on shark attacks and near misses on the Shark Shield report so I thought I would start this thread. Don't want to trivialize the subject as people have had their lives taken or changed forever by what can happen. I thought it might serve as an educational purpose by hearing others experiences so we may all learn from them and hopefully avoid it happening to us.
One of them was a mate of mine named Hazey.
He had been surfing at Castles, a notoriously sharky wave in the bay at Cactus.
Several hundred metres offshore the wave breaks before reforming into Inside Castles making a long left with several sections. The wave has been the scene of several attacks and near misses over the years including the local known as "Sharkbait" who had been attacked more than once.
Gerry Lopez is another who came very close to being attacked out there and vowed to never surf Cactus again after his near miss.
Well Hazey was surfing out the back with another bloke named Steve when out of the blue he was launched into the air still on his board by a huge force from below.
A shark had rammed him with a direct hit straight up into the air! In a moment it was gone but soon returned to the stunned Hazey and started biting him and his board. Hazey instinctively put his arms out to protect himself but both his arms ended up in its mouth. As the jaws closed down his arms could have easily been severed, but several teeth on the sharks lower jaw had become dislodged and imbedded in the board leaving his upper arms with massive injuries, but the vital inner arms where major arteries run were not majorly damaged. This probably saved his life.
By this time Steve had reacted and in a rush of adrenalin and pure ballsy courage he threw himself onto the sharks back and started gouging at the sharks eyeballs, eventually feeling one pop and the shark departed.
Steve got the two surfboards together and got himself and Hazey on and started the long paddle to shore.
Then they were both thrown into the air as the shark rammed them a third time before disappearing again. They continued to make their way closer to shore and the shark nudged them again. Steve told me he thought he really must of pissed it off when he popped its eye.
Finally they we're just a metre from shore when the shark made its fifth and final appearance. It beelined towards them and the shore while they stood in waist deep water with their boards. The sharks mouth was just rapidly opening and closing like one of those wind up sets of false teeth. The boys separated and put their hands on either side of it's body and held it on a 90 degree angle to the beach as they made the final steps to the safety of the sand.
Hazey was rushed to Ceduna hospital and then flown to Adelaide for micro surgery on his shredded arms.
Steve ended up receiving a bravery award and they both sold their story to 60 minutes and made $50,000 each out of it!
It was quite a story!
