(II) PADDLE OUT FOR SHAUN BROOKS
Still remember Him winning Trials and then making the Semi's at Bells in the 90's .
Surely missed , throughout Vicco . RIP .
What happened to Shaun? How did he die? Its really sad to hear that. The guy ripped!
I believe it was at his own hands, Yorkessurfer. He apparently went through a long period of depression prior to his death.
Very sad to hear. Gees, that's such a difficult situation for all concerned. All the best for the paddle out tomorrow. And, for what it's worth coming from a name on a website - best wishes to his loved ones.
Tragic news to hear of Shaun's passing. I remember him coming over to SA for one of the small pro-junior comps in the early 90's (held at Middleton, if I recall correctly), where he absolutely tore the bag.
Here's a nice tribute clip.
Thats a ripper tribute clip..loved the way he surfed
Wow, loved the way he surfed those big boards.
Deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
Hope he gets a wonderful memorial tomorrow.
beautiful rail to rail surfing. r.i.p brother..
A paddle out will be held at Bird Rock, on Thursday (Feb 2) at 1pm, for Shaun who passed last week.
I would like to remember Shaun charging spots like the 'Pop and 2 Mile at any size with incredible poise and grace.
RIP and love to the family.
(Sorry everyone, I've re-posted this cos the first one got spammed.)
