Podcasts ain’t really my thing but I can highly recommend this one with Kelly and Occy just before the Bells comp https://m.soundcloud.com/aintthatswell/da-goat-and-raging-bull-torquay-s...
Re-hashing this old thread..
I’ve been really digging podcasts this year. Anyone have any to recommend?
I’ve been enjoying Surf Splendour, The Grit, Ain’t that Swell, ABC conversations, Australian True Crime..
also Ron Iddles, the good cop was really good too.
For the AFL enthusiast Open Mike is worth listening too
Water People, which is Rasta and his wife. I’ve only listened to the one with Mark Healey but it was worth a listen. I’d listen to Healey talk on any interview though. I find him fascinating
Im hooked on watching Joe Rogan youtube episode nightly- Evander Holyfield tonight
Would like to hear peoples thoughts on Commander David Fravor interview retired US navy Pilot #1361
U do the one with Bob Lazar on ufo is good.
Freeride76, been trying to get into the Dirty Water podcast. Had a few good guests and some of your input is worthwhile listening too but holy hell man can you please tell DR to stop putting on a seppo accent or reverting to a gay man’s stereotype lisp every 10 minutes??
I nearly throw my phone out the window every time he does it.
Chas is a funny man

I think it's really interesting. It'ss becoming very clear and almost mainstream now that there are things flying around out there that governments can not explain.
No surf only comedy. Surf pods mainly make me want to perforate my ear drums.
Bill Burr The Monday Morning Podcast (Tues morn Aus time) and The Thursday Afternoon just before Friday Monday Morning Podcast. (Fri morn Aus).
Check out some of the older eps circa 2012/13 For some conspiracy theory and banker crunts rants.
The funniest man alive and was on Breaking Bad.
Recent Episode of the ‘The Late Drop’ with Dylan Longbottom was a good one.
As far as comedy goes I’ve been listening to the Ron Burgundy Podcast. Hilarious nonsense.
Are you sure they're not lifting the dialogue from here?
Thank Goofy that was a Ripper
Unreal Brutus..cheers

Good read Constance. Have been thinking over solutions to this issue of late, and it seems Finland's approach is having a positive influence on combating the bullshit -

“Even quite young children can grasp this,” he said. “They love being detectives. If you also get them questioning real-life journalists and politicians about what matters to them, run mock debates and real school elections, ask them to write accurate and fake reports on them … democracy, and the threats to it, start to mean something.”
"He wants his pupils to ask questions such as: who produced this information, and why? Where was it published? What does it really say? Who is it aimed at? What is it based on? Is there evidence for it, or is this just someone’s opinion? Is it verifiable elsewhere?"

Listened to that episode a while back, i think its USA military drone tech that only very high up are privy too, but its gone public so now the government also act as its some mystery.
The Bob Lazar ones, no idea if he is full of shit or what, but interesting listen all the same.
I love Joe's podcast i listen to them and other podcast while working a lot.
Whats so good about them is the people he gets on are so varied and conversation so in depth and natural, rather than short formulated cut question/answers, and sometimes the best episodes are the ones you think you have no interest in listening too, and then you cant get enough of them..
Lots of people diss him which i find weird, obviously just because you listen to them that doesn't at all mean everything being said is true or you have to agree, be it coming from guest or Joe, they are just individual stories, experiences, ideas, thoughts
Personally i think its good just to hear varying views even sometimes you don't agree or what they say go against your own beliefs, i didn't buy into a lot of the controversial Covid ones, but its still really interesting listening to them especially considering some of the people were quite qualified in their fields.

Aclassic podcast Ep3 - James Hollmer-Cross is one of the best surfing interviews Ive heard in years...........I listened in Spotify.
"why surfers are making less money Than Ever w/ Nat Young" on youtube. Not linking it because I didn't really learn much from it, just a heads up to not waste your time.
^^^Cheers Mitch. In an age of information overload, information like that might just be the most useful of all.
Lol no worries. TLDR is Nat's Mum used his money to buy real estate so he's fine, but he takes no active role. Apparently NBA/ NFL guys can't get good videographers. The rest was the host being a fan boy/ trying to play it cool/ blatantly obvious observations.

That was a great listen. Cheers for posting. Saw a lot of his surfing through 90's at TOS and out front a few times at Broady. Heath Walker lived in area and knew him and from memory Heath's sister was his first wife. They were dating at that point anyway.
geez he ripped!
Glad his life has turned out well, went through a tough patch....
This is a great poddy with some bloke named Stu.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and some of the insight definitely made me pause and reflect on some of my own ways of reacting un certain situations, and also understanding how to listen to other's, even if you don't agree, it's good to listen. Getting there....for the most part! ;-)
Also the Lozza/Rasta combo is growing on me. Enjoying these convos more and more.
Great stuff @stunet. Cheers!

Required listening for SN users, nice posting @SR!
Jeebers, by my reckoning, stu and family were down with the lurgy while this interview was aired.. woulda been a freakin weird listen during feverdreams, I'm sure, but comes across absolutely fucking unreal. SN. It's a thing.
Agreed Basesix. I think we all could learn a little from this.
I learnt alot.
Yep. Great stuf! Thanks sr
