NSW South Coast Roadie
Me too IB, hope you get some assistance and good trip if it works out
Great months to be travelling the east coast.
Happy to divulge secrets in person in exchange for a sixer of Stone and Wood.
Because I'm easily bought.
You'll have a ball IB- it's Gods country.
Every person develops their own little favourite area.
I love the Burrill Lake to Tabourie stretch.
First up, right season for waves, & 3/2 should be plenty for an nzedder
… lotsa dirt roads without signage the further u go south, explore them ;)
- national park areas just either side of a regional ‘town’ are not to be missed, some remote spots even require online bookings but most rangers (if around) are good about things regardless
(happy to give u a lend of my monad IB, there are a few big paddles yes, a few big walks too - and some right points etc… if u score a proper east coast low you’ll be spoilt for options)
… good luck and safe travel planning ;)
I love the Ulladulla area.
Waves everywhere.
;)

&pp=ygUPSm9zaCBrZW9naCBiaWtlShould be good waves if you are there this weekend
When I was ten my olds set up an onsite van at Lake Conjola in the old caravan park on the little isthmus. Still had drop toilets.
Golden years for me.
Learnt to surf out the front and moved on to the Island and beyond.
Could only surf on holidays so it took a while.
One of the best coast in Australia, heaps of set ups, great beaches and reefs, break walls set ups and the odd world class river mouth. (only thing it doesn't have many of is proper points)
Well worth tracking down a copy of Mark warren's atlas of Australian surfing
One of the best things about the coast is the camping options provided by national parks, they are everywhere and most are good quality in amazing beautiful locations a few even have hot showers (coin operated)
You often have to book ahead for some with limited spots though, and you do it all online these days.

- locals are (mostly) friendly

Some advice, please.
Never been to the South Coast, but always wanted to go. Looking at possibly going in late April or May '25, flying into Sydney and renting a small camper van. I'd most likely visit Josh Keogh in Wyndham, and try to not drop in on Stu at his point, but otherwise only loose plans.
Not asking for anyone to divulge even semi secrets, but keen to hear what areas are not to be missed. I like going right, and I don't mind big paddles.
