Might as well put this up in the politics subforum, to spare the front page. It's 18 months away or so, but here we go.

This is how Dutton wins:

tbb feels the Constituents are ready for the Reedy Creek Origin of the Dutto [L] Backtrack Flip Flop.

2009 Dutto is clinging on in Dickson by 217 Votes ...1.3% Notional Redistribution...
Altogether : "It's a Disaster!"...Please do Share Peter...Life's a fuckin' VIP [L] Struggle Mate!
Dutto : "Why is there No Plan to ensure My Future!"
Every [L] NP leader in Oz started knitting a Parachute for Peter...hang on Peter we got cushions!
All [L] NP leaders back their 5 Star Sheriff over some little local [L] Reedy Creek chick.

Off goes Peter...to land in Qld's #1 Blue Ribbon Seat...McPherson, where ya retire as a proxy [L] Leader!

But Dickson Constituents feel abandoned...as their Rep Dumps them for Plush Goldie Airport Seat
Crew spot the pattern...Goin gets tough! Dutto flees far from harm to Billionaire's Harbour Cruise.
Clear to all he advertises himself as Oz most shitty cowardly scared sissy VIP Pollie.

Abbott : "It's crucial preselectors realize how important Dutto is to our Front Bench Team!"
"It would be a Tragedy to lose a former Policeman from Parliament!"

3rd Oct 2009 McPherson Loser Dutto :

Dutto: "I lost because I'm a pissweak Brizzo Man...Goldie Local Karen is a Strong Candidate!"
Karen Andrews : "I take offence at the Bogan Brizzo's Chiko Chick Slam > It's a win for Democracy!"

4th Oct 2009 Media : Age Debate
* Dutton has now ruled out re-Contesting Dickson
* Dutto also said he will not Patch up his Parachute to arse cushion into the New Seat of Wright
* Liberal arrangements have effectively blocked a place on the Senate Ticket
Confirmed...
Dutto : "Indicated he will not run again for his current seat of Dickson, He's now considering his Future!"

Turnbull / Abbott : "We want [L] Qld to find a way to ensure that Poor Peter gets a Rep Seat!"
Bruce Baird : "Some Old Liberals should Stand down to give Hen Pecked cry baby Peter their seat!"
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2009-10-03/dutton-misses-out-on-mcpherson-pr...

Flip Flop
True to form, Dutto did indeed beg for another uncontested seat >>> Love to help...Hands are tied!
Reelected and Abbott instantly Awards the Whinging Sloth > The Worst ever Oz Minister of Health.

21st Aug 2018 Dutto loses his 2nd [L] Vote 35 to PM Turnbull 48
24th Aug 2028 Dutto loses his 3rd [L] Vote 40 to PM Morrison 45
Albo defeats Morrison
23rd May 2022 Home Affairs Karen Andrews already defeated Dutto stands down her run for [L] PM
Little Legendary Strong [L] Women Karen / Julie held their Lead Roles & Held their Party together...
For that...they get kicked to the Curb to form a skid ramp for the Party's biggest sissy Bully Boy Dutto.

Here ya go little Boy...No Strong Women will stand in yer way again > We won't Bite...All your's Loser!
Weakling Dutto was never gonna win any Ballot against [L] Women or Men. [L] Bully elected himself.
https://www.9news.com.au/national/andrews-considering-options-amid-liber...

Dutto went on to call for 3 more Elections against Albo + Called for & Back Flipped 5 Reffos = $4bn
Goes on to become First Opposition Leader to Flip all 100 Polices in 100 days until the Poll...Legend!

After 4 [L] Ballots The Liberal Party never once elected Dutto & his next 8 Fake Polls failed...
Mostly coz he flip flopped on every one of them....he voted the opposite to each of his Fake Polls (Impossible)
His [L] Vote is now less than loser Scomo at 2022 Failed [L] Election.
Oz vote now reflects [L] Vote > That Loser Scomo is their preferred Choice as [L] Leader.
That's a bitter pill to swallow...yer own [L] Campaign Team prefers Daggy Dad to Dopey Dutto!
Dutto has blown unbeatable Jan 2025 lead to slide back to his role of Scomo's Lap Dog in Aug 2018.

Voldemort has backtracked his own [L] Leadership 7 years in just the 1st 1/4 of 2025.
Again...Media don't see or call out the obvious! (Dutto has Lost his Voice!) No one is Listening! Shh!
In fact...we all know this...Coz tbb bets all grit their teeth & clench their ears shut to drown him out...
Most depressing hate filled monster alongside Trump...Like a pair of Undertakers...scooping corpses!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion_polling_for_the_2025_Australian_fe...

Voted most unliked Liberal Candidate by Liberals for 3 almost 4 times....all were too scared to say no!
Everything this Lazy arsed Bully Demands at his feet turns to shit as he kicks another Back Flip daily.
Does not ever once back himself...just pulls another pin & and lobs another WMD sight unseen
That's exactly how he & Trump are alike...they each constantly fail miserably & blame everyone else...
Chuck whatever shit & stir up even more hateful shit...until they beat it into ya...enough of these Bullies!

First the Tough Local [L] Chix done him in > now weakling Albo's scare campaign spooks him!
Goin' gets tough...this coward cries & flees to a lap of luxury 1million miles away from the frontline!
Never once declares his Gazillion Dollar 30x Solar Panelled Empire which now haunts him.
Says he has an aversion to Solar Panels which began the day after he sold them on to the next buyer!

tbb ain't Voting until one other Oz Voter can see Dutto's Solar Panels enough to read a ballot paper...
Wake the Fuck Up Straya...You've all been played by the biggest Lazy arsed Liar in Oz!

Their campaign to date would be best described as shambolic.

Any rational person watching current events would call any association with Trump and MAGA, electoral poison.

They have desperately been trying to make Dutton look like everyone's best friend, while failing to present any policy which could be broadly described as progressive and in the national interest. And to make it more laughable, they have a team of "strategists" plotting their course.

Nothing has been thought through.

Did it not occur to anyone in the LP before announcing the policy, that threatening to sack 40,000 Commonwealth employees and terminating Work From Home, would guarantee every single employee would vote for the ALP? Eventually, someone told them!!!

All advertising material we have received and seen has not mentioned anything about policy, just all anti Teals, Greens, Independents, Labor.

And they reckon they can run the country.

At this point I'd say the ALP will be returned with a small chance of an increased majority.

"More money chasing the same amount of housing is the most well worn path to failure in Australian policymaking, and both the government and the opposition seem intent on proving that they can double down on that dumbness yet again.

The campaigns of both major parties are a dumpster fire of dumb stuff. Meantime, the world is on fire, and we here in Australia need smart policies way more than we need smart politics.”

If they really want to fix Medicare….take 1 billion out of the Medicare top up budget and train 5000 of our best and brightest young Australian people as doctors on a free scholarship …….medicare is useless without doctors……take the strain off.
If you really want to house people …..supply $100,000 blocks of land to Australian born people and forget the grants…..the people will do the rest themselves….
Solutions are usually simple……and don’t require chucking buckets of money.
Just a little bit in the right place…….the people will fix the rest.

Dictator is the term, I believe Ben.

In what can only be described as a rare feat, Trump and his cronies have managed to piss off every segment of society locally and internationally.

History tells us the implications of high tariffs. Despite that, Don and the boys have pressed on regardless, without a thought for the Bond Market or the fact that the Chinese hold around $750 Billion in US Bonds.

The Bond Market sent him a warning, a gentle slap on the wrist, so to speak.

Next time it will be a full on mugging.

Australia is caught in the middle, and as Seaslug points out, the implications are frightening.

The military appointment is frightening, it does appear that the USA really do have bunch of Fascist wannabe racist loons taking control of the US Empire which is in decline.
What could possibly go wrong?

I couldn't take it seriously - any methodology that describes Labor as being left of centre is ridiculous in my view.
And the questions are dumb.
The first question asks "How much [more] should wealthier people pay in taxes?"
I mean, I don't think that "wealthy" people should necessarily pay more in taxes but I do think that the myriad of policies that enable loopholes for them (i.e. real estate, family trust and superannuation) should be heavily modified.

And "The Australian government should pay the full cost of family doctor visits."
Is that it?
No mention of means testing or anything else?

Also "Political parties should commit to running at least as many women candidates as they do men."
Fucking hell.

What about "Australia should set up a Truth and Justice Commission to look into how the government has mistreated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people."
Because presumably if you say no, you're going to be shunted over to the Right and told you align with the ALP even though you believe that money would be better spent empowering Indigenous crew and solving problems rather that looking to dish out blame and create a whole new spiral of culture wars.
And yes, I do feel slightly dirty for using the word empower.
If I ever utter "nourish" and "resonate" in the same sentence just take me down the back paddock and shoot me.

can if you want.

Kohler is well out there nowadays, bordering on incoherent and he's deviated a long way from his traditional economic and financial commentary...

Most of the others would be considered as the progressive equivalent of what they label as far right.

I've got Kohler, Verrender and Michael West for a start - matter of fact without hysteria or trying to trade on a cult of personality.
Maybe Friendly Jordies for balls and bravery.
And Waleed Aly has some brilliant analysis and insight, a very intelligent and perspicacious fella.

Agree.... especially Michael West.

FJ, the guy is fearless.
He makes many so called real jornos look pathetic

Also add https://johnmenadue.com/

+1

And for international… Max Blumenthal & Whitney Webb

Yep Blumenthal definitely...
Another antisemitic Jew.

Also Colonel Wilkenson ex Colin Powell chief of staff (huge leftie ey) and Alaister Crooke.
They have been getting the calls correct re Ukraine and ME.
Aaron Mate I will also add.

Greg Sheridan, Albrechsten and Fred Pawle on rotation :)
Actually, now that I've stopped and thought about it, isn't Greg Sheridan just a first-rate cunt??
He's really awful.

Biggest load of BS ever....
There is no indoctrination happening, teachers flat out getting through the already crowded curriculum. As pointed out one signed off by Morrison govt.

Dutton is such FW, now just read he son at a pressor with him claiming he has trouble saving for his first home, Dutton is said to be worth 10's of millions, sure he could help out??
Housing a problem, but one of the reasons is due to housing becoming an investment rather than a home, a situation Dutton exploited proudly. CGT and neg gearing etc.

Crikey, who would vote for this nasty clown???

This will be an uneventful election. Labor will cruise to victory. And even if they are 1 or 2 short they will just get an independent onboard. Pretty easy stuff.
