I think the extreme elements at both ends have been amplified by design to delegitimise and erode what most people would consider civil rights. Look at our rights to protest here in Australia for example and the recent diminished rights of citizens to engage in protest and civil disobedience. For example the student climate protests labelled by the Sky News fraternity as woke brain washed students, yet the fossil fuel industry continues unabated as global temperatures rise and wild fire seasons become longer and more destructive. One thing I doubt very much is his "I'll end the Ukraine CONFLICT in a day".
