been around telly and hotels and civilisation this week. is steve irwin's son's africa thing still not happened??? holy cow, just saw an ad' that seems not dissimilar to and ad' that people were dissing this time last year.. ramp up much? also saw a really large barracouta caught though, so swings and roundabouts..

my son (who's as telly dopey as me) just told me maybe there's been some seasons, and this is the new one.. that sounds wrong to me.. otherwise we would have caught a few clips of b-grade celebs shouting first-world stuff, instead of 1950s song and dance numbers..

I like "International house hunters" :D (on channel 9) mostly the Asian or Mexico episodes.
hotel tellys: teen kids always stick on 11 (10 peach), which suits me.
after they flake, I try to fall asleep to something likeably boring like drew pritchard's salvage hunters.
muted the big band theory (lorre finally got one right by chance, if you know a lady that likes charlie sheen's OG lorre schtick, run, RUN!) to listen to @blackers' belter.

Salvage hunters, American Pickers, Pawn stars, all the sort of cable tv produced stuff my kids watched before we hooked up the tv to streaming services. Easy to fall asleep to I'm sure. The missus spends an inordinate amount of time searching for something to watch on all the paid services and the on demand ones. I can't be arsed, too much to sift through, and am happy to watch reruns of British comedies, game shows, police procedurals or docos on the various iterations of free to air stations. Unless it is footy season at which point I re-subscribe to Kayo and immerse myself in wall to wall football for 9 months.
