Musk a role model ? What for ? Family planning ? Tell anyone that doesn’t agree with him to GFY ? The guy maybe a very good businessman with smart ideas but he comes across as a carnt , especially to those he employs . I guess we have different ideas on who & what makes a good role model .
Unsurprised that an intellectual midget throws his support behind a midget wrestler social media "influencer" who appears to "change" his mind too, particularly when large sums of money are involved.
Maybe one day you will "change" your outlook on him like you "changed" your racist posturing on FNP.
Pathetic.
Think for yourself, that's what "men" do.
It's not "growth", it's a lack of principles in the first place.
Ya leave the house for a few hours to have lunch with some old work buddies and well I’m practicably speechless ….
@adam12, that’s it, principles, if ya got them you don’t change them, you can tell shit from clay and you don’t need to do any fucking resurchin on the internet to now what’s what!
So Rogan might suffer from tiny man syndrome? 5’6” or 7” no wonder he’s cautious about the Ukrainian boxer! Hahaha
FMD @info, Musk and Rogan role models, your poor judgement here is astounding, please refer to my comment above regarding principles. You can also add values to that … and I have no idea what you are saying ^^ about 5 days, my mind is very clear on where I stand on Rogan and other grifters dating back to his COVID mis-info-mation days
The Democratic elite should not compromise in the aftermath of its defeat to the forces of populism. It should oppose tariffs and fight for expanded open borders. Unrestricted entry for anyone from anywhere who possesses enough enterprise and wherewithal to work long and hard for sweet F.A. in certain sectors of the economy. Introduce tax breaks and incentives for employers willing to help, as well as expanding the institutionalisation of turnablindeyeism towards any non compliance with labour laws. It’s all about a flexible and dynamic economy. Target sectors which are uncompetitive and protected, and as such distort the free market. Areas where labour has become so overvalued it fuels inflation. Sectors such as parts of the knowledge and information economies, where you’ll find the likes of the NYT and the CNN, for instance. Consulting and the like, especially the progressive political campaign consultant class. Geez, if anywhere could benefit from a more competitive labour market and a wider talent pool? Academia, publishing etc. The legal system - qualified over there, qualified over here - get ‘em in, by the hundreds of thousands, enormous competitive downward pressure on fees, affordable access to once were fancy Ivy-League educated lawyers for all. And for sure Hollywood. Actors and Screenwriters in particular. Get ‘em in from from all over the joint. This model is broken and needs recalibrating. The SAG and the WGA are in need of a solid dose of deregulation and their members would benefit enormously from full exposure to an open global marketplace and the free movement of people. No doubt this would provide a better outcome for the consumer. Consider the over valued and over costed dross that these overpaid American workers inflict on the modern streamer and cinema goer. The modern consumer shouldn’t be compelled to suffer the grotesque trickle down effect produced when an employer such as Apple, or any studio, is compelled to pay an employee such as De Niro $20m for a role he was fifty years too old for in the service of a movie that no one saw. Don’t tell me that there aren’t thousands upon thousands of folk from other countries out there - diverse people of colour no less!! - who could be brought in to do this shit at least almost as good, and for way, way cheaper. And really, there is pretty good stuff coming out of South and Central America now, so why not just shift the whole show from L.A. to Mexico? Still get a gig playing dress ups down there, I guess, if your fee is competitive enough, but forget your SAG and WGA conditions. Mexico’s system is much more flexible, dynamic and efficient. Heaps better. I’m sure Robert, as a good progressive, would support these measures, in solidarity with the millions and millions of Americans who’ve already benefited from such progressive Clintonian dogma over the last thirty years. I mean, Bob was in Dear Hunter, in a steel mill, in PA, so he knows that this stuff works, that it’s an inherent good. That it’s equitable and inclusive.

I think the trashcans back .

This will sound crazy after he has had Trump on, but from everything Joe has ever said and his reaction in that video (like fuck no are you crazy reaction)
Too big, to political, to controversial and then would have the headache of needing to show both sides, do you then invite Putin on?
Media and haters would go crazy, look at them now just from him having Trump on and endoursing him.
I never thought he would have Trump on for the above reason's, he said himself he wouldn't, but i think he just got to the point where he wanted Trump to win and see change he is also good friends with Tulsi, friends with Musk and he shares lots of RFK ideas, plus Trump had already been on quite a few podcast, so while it was still a big deal, it wasn't like it could have been if exclusive.
He has said and i believe him, he doesn't need the money or more attention, it's not his desire sure he is happy with the success and money, but even if he had 100K followers he would still be doing the podcast thing, not everyone does the things they do purely for money, some people just love what they do and lucky they can make a living from it.
I think he is more interested in talking to people that he digs on subjects he is interested in, lots of his guest are not very well known, Klitschko is a much more realistic guest.
He could pretty much have anybody on, but half the people he has on aren't big names, he isn't like Tucker Carlson chasing big names like Putin.

Great back to your normal high and mighty looking down on others self the real Adam..
If you dont like Joe or his podcast fine, but all this trash talk about him being a pussy, liar or his height, blah blah blah, is well as you said pathetic, it's just dumb, you really have no reason to hate on him other than supporting Trump, he is just a podcaster that you have most likely never listened to a whole episode of.
Personally I dont mind him, i agree with him sometimes i dont agree with him other times, (sometimes strongly disagree with him) i listen to maybe one in twenty of his podcast* mostly the people that i think interest me, but to be honest, sometimes the best podcast are the ones that i have no idea who they are until it's starts playing and then it ends up being very interesting
Like millions of others i enjoy them, because he has a whole range of different people on from all walks of life and then they talk for three hours that allows them to really go into depth, it's not scripted it not cut it not set question & answers, basically it's real conversation.
I think his podcast are popular because of these things, which are all the opposite of the mainstream media, that just feeds you, short, highly edited, based on narratives of what sells or gets clicks, and even when the media does interview people, those people often say elsewhere, they edited it to make me look this way or didn't include the most important point etc
*Almost always while working.
I would like to see Klitschko talk to Tucker, that could be interesting to watch.
:
I'd have no problem with Rogan if he just stayed in his lane, fighting sports, a few comedians or personalities shooting the shit on matters that they have knowledge or interest in, which is what he was doing originally.
But to parley that profile into some kind of conspiracy theorist amplifier and political influencer for Trump's bizarre act, to the point where he is credited for an election result, and to tell Zelensky and Ukraine to "fuck off" from the safety of a Texas studio, (and surprise surprise to feel it necessary to lie about his height and weight like all little big men do), a line has been crossed and his bros can cry me a fucken river but what a bunch of morons to listen to that guy on anything except maybe how to pull a choke hold or whether Ali or Tyson would have beaten each other or just normal conversation without all the nonsense he goes on with that idiots believe because he knows a few moves in the octagon
.
"Joe Rogan believes dragons are real", and to troll Joy Behar changed his profile to "dragon believer".
Now I could just leave that there and wait for all the Rogan suckers to start with "but...but... he wasn't saying they were real, he was saying that maybe mythical dragons were inspired by pterodactyls and people's beliefs stem from fearing those pre historic reptiles"
Which sounds logical to a moron, and ignores the fact that that reptile went extinct 65 million years ago, that pterosaurs lived from the late Triassic to the end of the Cretaceous period.and homo sapiens evolved between 200, 000 and 300, 000 years ago, but do go on with your kung fu MMA bro logic there boys, it's fascinating. Morons convincing other morons about moronic ideas.
Just one example of how out of his depth he and his bro disciples are.
There's a big bucket full of them.
And as for "fuck Ukraine, why should we get into WW3", fuck you buddy, the USA has been attacked twice, once at Pearl Harbor and again on 911, and what did they do?
Cower and pussy out, don't start a fight over it, there might be a war, it might cost money?
No, they demanded the world was "either with us or against us", then lied to the world about WMD's in Iraq and caused a million unnecessary deaths, shit still reverberating from that.
GFY little boxer, and your bro fan club of Pornhub subscribers and puny minded cream puff incels.
Maybe Australia should rethink Pine Gap and AUKUS, there might be a war and Joe and his mates wouldn't want to upset the Chinese or Russia and maybe it will be "fuck Australia too".
Don't know if you can tell, I'm not a big fan of Joe Rogan.
Not a big Musk fan either, might have something to say about him too if I can be bothered at some point.
And @Indo, I haven't changed a bit, happy to be my "real self" for you and him anytime. Three hours with that idiot deep diving, your worksites must be fun.
The alternative to Rogan isn't the MSM either.
But good on you for "learnings".
Indo I know this is pathetic but can you please put an “s” on words like guest and podcast when appropriate.
I find myself correcting it when I’m reading your post(s) and it infuriate(s) me.
Eg. Rogan has many different guests, and puts out a large number of podcasts.
Like I said, very pathetic on my part but fuck me it’s annoying.
Also I’m on your side here. I don’t get the hate for Rogan in the forums.
I definitely don’t view him as a role model and it’s taken me a couple of years to listen to his podcast(s) semi regularly. But yeah I think he’s entertaining and gets interesting guest(s) on.
Dunno about him being a pussy either, reckon he’d be a strong little fucker who’d have some go in him. Had a cunt of an old man so I think that made him a pretty angry, hard fucker when he was young.
Do ya reckon all that cigar smoking stunted his growth ?
Yeah might need to get his chops done too.

Don't often, well I pretty much never agree with Indo, but he has some points here.
I don't mind Rogen and had listened to some of his podcasts before he was/ became political. Don't agree with it all but what other platform has these open conversations?
You may not agree with everything he says, but cannot fault his interview style, he seems to just want people to open up.
Wanking while driving, well at least he is honest!!
@Goofy,
I'm not calling him a pussy for his skills in the ring, he's a Taekwondo blackbelt (not the most, er, dangerous Karate discipline, but nevertheless), he's a Machado BJJ blackbelt and has a 2-1 record in the ring as a kickboxer, never fought MMA on the record, but yes he'd be a formidable opponent in his weight division whatever that is. In his prime anyway.
And I have also listened to and been entertained by some of his podcasts. No question there.
But the switch to Trumpism, and advocacy of Trump and Putin propaganda, and some of his non political and political conspiracy musings left me very underwhelmed, and his "fuck Ukraine" and then apparent unwillingness to entertain Zelensky or Klitschko made me think he is an intellectual pussy, unwilling to match his words with action, ("I'll have anyone on"), and lightweight masquerading as some kind of authoritative opinion maker that has managed to exert undue influence over political discourse and even an American election.
Nah, not my kind of guy.
Like Trump, like Elon Musk.
They are indicative of something, what it is I'm not too sure. But whatever it is we don't need it here. There's enough fruit looping going on here already.
So I pass.
Adam12 you make a good case.
I always like reading your posts, they tend to cover a lot of ground with a bit of everything thrown in.

I may have a problem myself.
Good luck!
I'm with you on this one Adam12. It's a pity one of those overhead cameras didn't catch Rogan jerking off while driving, it would have shown the world what a selfish tosser he really is. Then again most of his and Trumps disciples see being an arrogant narcissistic arsehole as a good thing and probably cant wait to try beating off behind the wheel.
@ Adam
Im not sure where you are getting your information from???
As we know he never said dragons existed as some ABC vIew host wrongly claimed, and I was curious I looked up the pterodactyl thing and he never said any of that either, it's from a four year old clip where they are talking about, mythical creatures etc
After the guest has talked about mythological dragons, Joe says
"The fact that we do know pterodactyls existed, that's cool, but it would be way cooler if they existed with people"
Then he says "why is that?, why is it so much cooler to us?"
He was never saying they existed at the same time as humans, it was just looking at how we view things as humans.

Ha ha i dont think he was ever either, the episodes ive watched he hasn't denied man made climate change, but he has had on guest that have or he has said controversial things around the issue more recently about the effect of eating meat on climate change or how much of a role USA has compared to say China, he has also talked about things like how much of it is man made, how much of it is natural cycles, and to what extent do we change society to deal with things, change and adaption need to be realistic and the cure not worse than the disease type thing.
Personally this is one area along with vaccines or gun control etc that i dont agree with everything he says or his guest views around this issue, and Im sure you can dig up many video's of him or his guest saying this or that to make him look bad, but i also get many of his points.
IMHO this topic isn't black and white, there is so many shades of grey between some crazy radical doomsday activist like Gretta thumberg and then some complete climate denier who says there is no such thing as climate change or man has no effect at all on climate
Most of us sit somewhere along those shades of grey in both our view points on effect and urgency and also how we adapt to create change or what measures of change are realistic and what aren't.

climate change deniers, Trumps endorsement guy RoganHa ha i dont think he was ever either, the episodes ive watched he hasn't denied man made climate change, but he has had on guest that have or he has said controversial things around the issue more recently about the effect of eating meat on climate change or how much of a role USA has compared to say China, he has also talked about things like how much of it is man made, how much of it is natural cycles, and to what extent do we change society to deal with things, change and adaption need to be realistic and the cure not worse than the disease type thing.
Personally i dont agree with everything he says or his guest views around this issue, and Im sure you can dig up many video's of him or his guest saying this or that to make him look bad, but i also get many of his points.
So Gretta Thumberg on one end of the scale,
is a crazy radical.
But Trump on the other end of the scale
is just some guy that disagrees,
with science a bit.
Nicely normalised there for your average
Sea slugs .

Don't bother with the "rumours" go straight to the horses mouth.

Seems Lil'Joe the midget wrestler might not only be a pussy, he might also be a bullshitter, he sure stayed "out of the Presidential election shit" didn't he?

Trump, Musk, Rogan....some great role models there.

https://x.com/WUTangKids/status/1862508957513736270Joe has had pressure on him for years and years to get Trump on, he only caved when Trump had already been on a number of other podcast.
He has had Republican and Democrats and independents on before, Bernie, Tulsi, Trump, RFK, i think technically Trump has been the only Republican at the time of the interview.
Musk has been on Rogan a few times over the years, should he stop having him on because he now is in with Trump?
I dont think so, he still has a whole heap of interesting shit to talk about and involved in from Telsa, Space X to Twitter/X etc and politics only takes up a slice of a podcast.
Personally i think both Musk and Rogan are good role models both driven high achievers but still down to earth, but yeah they are human so aren't without flaws.
But they are still better role models than some Instagram influencer famous for nothing but looking pretty or many other celebrities that think their views matter because they had some success as an actor or musician etc.
BTW. It is funny to watch you guys here and in the media even some old drongo from ABC etc all butt hurt over people like Musk and Rogan supporting Trump or getting millions more views than traditional media, now clutching at all these straws having hissy tantrums over anything and everything they say or do, thinking anyone that wants to be on Joe Rogan should now instantly get a platform, and if he says no thank you, he is this or that.

Names? I don’t see anyone doing this..nor hissy tantrums?
Who does that here?
Indo, care to answer this?
You to some extent, but more so Adam and Erotic Jeff the odd other like Old dog.
Basically butt hurt that Trump got in, and i think actually waking up to the reality that maybe Musk and Rogan etc did help sway things to what extent is hard to say though.
Lol…thx for answering. Funny tho.

What people don’t get, is that
Trump is basically a wannabe wrecking ball,
Not really worried about economic stability at all ,
Chaos will always help his plans.
The only thing that might keep him in check are the markets ,and his billionaire
surrogates, hopefully .
I was going to focus on the title of this article...
but... rogan...

"...CARVILLE: The vice president was thinking about going on a Joe Rogan show, and a lot of the younger progressive staffers pitched a hissy fit. Supposedly the campaign said that that wasn't a term de facto, but they did.
When you put a campaign together and you hire young people to do work, let me tell you exactly what you tell these people, what I would tell them. Not only am I not interested in your opinion, I'm not even going to call you by your name. You're 23 years old. I don't really give a sh*t what you think.
KIRK: What James Carville is getting at is that they were unwilling to even go sit down with Joe Rogan. You've been on Rogan many times, Glenn, and the whole joke, they're like, well, how do we get a new Rogan? Well, you guys used to have Rogan. Glenn.
GREENWALD: First of all, just let's recall when we're talking about James Carville, that he wrote article after article, including in the New York Times, saying that not only did he believe Kamala was going to win the election, but he didn't think it was going to be close, that he had no doubts about it, that he had absolute certainty about it, and maybe that was just some activism. But that is what he said repeatedly, and he turned out to be just as wrong as anybody else.
Maybe he should be listening to people a little bit more. But I think one of the things that's so funny that people have forgotten is that for all this talk about how the left needs Joe Rogan, as you said, the left had a Joe Rogan whose name was Joe Rogan just in 2022, not two decades ago, four years ago, Joe Rogan said his favorite candidate was Bernie Sanders, and his second favorite candidate was Tulsi Gabbard. So Joe Rogan endorsed the most left-wing socialist candidate who's viable for the presidency in decades, this far-right, radicalizing into fascism voice for young men, four years ago was on board with Bernie Sanders.
One of the things that happened was when the Sanders campaign did what, of course, they should have done, which was touted Joe Rogan's endorsement in their advertisements, because those were the voters they need to attract, they need to undermine this view that only far-leftists supported Bernie Sanders, people in the party led by AOC were so offended that the Sanders campaign would even speak with, let alone tout the endorsement of, Joe Rogan that AOC for months refused to have anything to do with the Sanders campaign. She stopped campaigning with them. She accused them of promoting transphobia.
And so when you have someone like Joe Rogan, who has so many classically left-wing positions, he's probably the loudest, most prominent advocate of same-sex marriage. People go on his show and say, we need traditional marriage. He'll pound them for hours about why that's wrong.
So many different views like that. He's anti-corporatist, he's anti-war. To take somebody like that and just malign them and attack them and exclude them and say, because there's a couple of positions, whether trans women should be able to play in sports or young children should get experimental sex reassignment surgery, we're going to declare you far-right. That's why they alienate everybody."

who realise too late that they might be losing their jobs (dept of education) etc,
Their health insurance (Obama Care )
Their social security,
Overtime,
But don’t worry about that.
