The wife says when she was a little kid one of her siblings got chicken pox, so mum put the other 5 kids in the same room so they would all get it over with at once.
I remember having it when I was about 7 years old, red itchy bumps all over, but I liked it as I got to spend the whole week at home alone watching combat on the black and white 20" TV and eating still warm bread and buns from the horse drawn bakers cart.
My sister in law was told to get the jab in between episodes of shingles to lessen the chance of it returning, which it appears to have done. She even had blisters inside her mouth making it hard to eat.

Just read your post TBB , I’ve been down the AF & SVT road before , not much fun . Before my last op they used the paddles to re-boot me , knocked me out first but it’s a quick way to reset when your heart is all over the place . All I can say mate is you will get through this . Keep writing about what’s going on , it’s good therapy . Any idea what your top speed was ? I was a bit shocked when they told me I was doing 220 bpm and had been for about an hour. Walking 100 metres felt like I had sprinted a marathon. Get well soon buddy, again, you will get through this .
