Next Federal Election
@AW, andy-mac, and Supafreak.
This sort of thing should not come as a surprise to anyone. Since 1949, when the Coalition resumed power under Menzies, they have made a habit of frustrating the development of our energy resources and in more recent times, recovering a fair share of our exported materials and products via taxation for the benefit of our own population.
As far as the LNP are concerned, slinging mud about flight upgrades is the best they can do (don't mention the "own goals"!). Developing a raft of innovative nation building policies is seemingly well beyond their capability.
May you all have a great day!!
A Salty Dog. Hi fella
‘Comes As No Surprise’ to me , my heads still spinning around. Sunny Boys.
Airline fare evasion (which it wasn’t) are just accusations and a diversionary tactic of the LNP’ s ‘flight of fancy ‘.
Nothing else to add your honour, guilty as found. Good stuff ASDog. AW
Edit. Enjoy yours also.
;)

I think it is a magnificent thing.
B/C/S forecasts.. Adubs shrubberies, ..
SN has affected my life, the gigs I go see,
some SN people just helped me organise a 10'4"
that I never thought I'd own, shaped here, sent north,
coming home to be used gratefully maybe 2 or 3 times a year
for the next 7 years.
I posted some childhood memories.
on a Sunday.. so..? trying to make with the fisticuffs.?
Queenslanders must be stoked now that the LNP will keep coal as their main energy source . Such a progressive state .
Roadkill.
What are you, the posting Police ?
You must have a very long backyard to lay down your caber. AW

I want to talk japan and stuff with you,

@southern rates you, but he's been wrong before..

Yes, it is, supportive folk.
How’s your supporter going ? Not commenting today. Are you a bit lost and lonely that he’s not here to reinforce your views ? Australia’s version of Trump.
Swellnet’s own in house jerk.
You’re always suggesting I should go back to what I know a little about.
I’m suggesting the same. Be careful, you are morphing into the same behaviour as your mate. For some reason I can’t remember what you actually know a little about. AW

come across to the back-page church,
you and @Jelly might even share a coupla cuppas.
Imagine if you wanted people to care that you exist and are somehow important..
so you say something that affects people, when you walk into a room,
just for the effect.. very strange existence, but prolly surface-satisfies certain types.

hahha,

band names abounding.
see you on the 19th.
I reckon there would be many Labor supporters that would be both relieved and excited if a change in the leadership became a reality , unfortunately I can’t see it happening . https://johnmenadue.com/albaneses-refusal-to-heed-warnings-about-austral... Against a background in which Kamala Harris was successfully jettisoned into the role of US presidential candidate last August for an election in three months, government ministers such as Tony Burke, Clare O’Neil, Jason Clare and Jim Chalmers are forthright communicators whose leadership credentials are increasingly discussed by unhappy Labor supporters. Whether there is any purposeful discussion among the Prime Minister’s parliamentary colleagues around tapping him on the shoulder, is another question.
Albo revival must come from within
AlfredWallace wrote:Peter Reynolds wrote:Hey Salty Dog, my mrs works in Youth Justice, the 'boot camps' were very well-received in regional communities and actually achieved some results, turned the lives of some very troubled kids around. If you support a Labor government that has basically said 'do whatever the fuck you want kids we ain't gonna do anything' then you deserve your house getting broken into. It was a massive issue for the people throughout regional Qld, people that actually work with these troubled kids think they were a great idea.
Peter Reynolds. Hi.
Well, we have to ask ourselves why we have very troubled youth and if they are as you say , ‘troubled’. What are the circumstances leading to your so called ‘troubled’ kids ?
Some people just can’t seem to understand the entire historical picture. My ex has worked for 30 years in regional QLD and is calling bullshit regarding your claim. Especially your statement claiming, the camps were well received.
Well received by who ?Would you care to say what groups of people you are talking about ? no didn’t think so.
Another ‘rose coloured’ glasses perspective on life in regional Australia
We’ve got a long long way to go in this country. What year is it ?
Salty Dog, spot on fella . AW
Hi Alfred,
Happy to answer a few of your questions, geez your teenage schoolgirl level of snarkiness is hard to cop though whereby you ask me question then answer it in the same sentence "would you care to say what groups of people your talking about, no didn't think so", grow up mate.
I could also use this sentence as an analogy as to why you refer to the woman who bore your children as your 'ex' and I refer to mine as 'my wife', no self respecting woman would hang around long with your pompous smugness.
Your ex is calling bullshit on my claim? Well your ex and my wife would have a very robust conversation then, I assume your ex is on the ground in regional Qld? delivering programs to troubled kids? A phrase my wife remembers from these 'boot camps' was getting kids back 'on country', that was the point of the camps, run mainly by aboriginal elders that had grown up as ringers and stockmen, hard men.
But alas, no governing party is perfect and unlike Labor supporters I can criticize my choice of party. The LNP underfunded the camps and the roll-out was a bit chaotic and un-organised at times, they most definitely were not run smoothly but the premise was well-received by the people running them, the case managers that evaluated the kids feedback and well, some kids themselves.
Salty dog throwing statistics at me from "The Guardian" and the QPS is hilarious, two organisations that make fudging numbers to suit their narrative an art form. No credibility there.
What is a 'troubled kid' you ask? I would say a kid that was born into a family without a hope in hell to succeed or be happy in life, mostly belong to extremely dysfunctional family environment's and have suffered abuse from drug and alcohol addicted parents, both white and black.
I look at these issues through 'rose-coloured glasses' ? what the fuck does that mean? That doesn't make any sense.
The point of my post was to push back on the Labor supporting people that are having a sook about our change of government in queensland, my state, my people, and I fucking love em!! All of em.
@Peter Reynolds , your state, your people, your party of choice . Do you go along with your party of choice when it comes to choice of energy source ?
To Alfred Wallace,
I'm sorry for having a go at you about your divorce, that was below the belt and uncalled for, I hope you can accept my apology.
Might as well put this up in the politics subforum, to spare the front page. It's 18 months away or so, but here we go.
This is how Dutton wins:
