Best Days: Saturday morning, Monday morning, Tuesday morning, Wednesday morning
Recap
Small waves continued across the coast yesterday with OK winds for a surf at magnets in the South West, while today less favourable breezes from the S'th are blowing across all locations.
This weekend and week (Jan 28 – Feb 3)
Tomorrow is the day to surf, with the best pulse of SW groundswell due to fill in across the state, coming in at 4-6ft in the South West across magnets and 1-2ft in Perth.
Offshore E/SE winds will create great conditions before sea breezes kick in.
Sunday will be smaller and average with a S'ly change, leaving protected spots as the only decent option for a wave.
Monday's swell has been downgraded a little with the low that's expected to generate it forecast to be a touch weaker.
This low, forming south-west of us this evening, will generating a small fetch of W/SW gales through our swell window, moving off further to the east Sunday morning.
The swell should peak Monday morning, similar in size to Saturday with 4-6ft waves in the South West and 1-2ft sets around Perth.
The easing trend will be slowed by a weak secondary front generating strong W/SW winds in the wake of the low.
Smaller 3-4ft waves are due on Tuesday, hanging around 3ft+ Wednesday. Perth will become tiny though.
Conditions on Monday will be good with a SE offshore wind, more E/SE into Tuesday and Wednesday.
Longer term there's still nothing of note on the cards with small swells to 3-4ft around Margs on the cards later in the week and next weekend with SE winds. More on this Monday. Have a great weekend!
