Recap

Small, fun surf the last two days, with 1-2ft sets yesterday morning while a reinforcing pulse of swell today has maintained 2ft sets. Conditions were clean for a short-period before a S'ly change kicked in mid-morning.

This week and next (Nov 4- 10)

The weekend ahead looks fun swell wise, with background levels of reinforcing energy due to maintain 1-2ft waves both tomorrow, Sunday and even Monday. The source of these swells is weak, but persistent background frontal energy along the polar shelf.

The main issue are the local winds, and like this morning there's only expected to be a short-period of light W-W/SW breezes early tomorrow, shifting S/SW mid-late morning and strengthening.

Sunday looks the pick with a light NW offshore before fresh S/SE sea breezes develop into the afternoon. Monday should also be clean with a N/NW offshore ahead of sea breezes.

Looking at the rest of the week and Tuesday morning is expected to be smaller with early offshore winds, while a fun reinforcing pulse of mid-period SW swell is due Wednesday.

This should boost the surf to 2ft+, generated by a healthy fetch of W/NW winds passing under the country Sunday and Monday.

Winds look favourable again and light offshore ahead of gusty S/SE sea breezes, while Thursday looks dicey at this stage as a trough moving through Wednesday evening leaves S/SW winds blowing across the state. We'll confirm this on Monday though. Have a great weekend!
