  • Small, reinforcing S/SW swell Thu with N winds, easing Fri with N tending variable winds

Recap

Tiny, clean surf all weekend best suited to beginners. Today the swell has kicked a little with sets to 1-2ft reported, but with a W/SW breeze.

This week and weekend (July 6 - 11)

Today's small swell will be superseded by a stronger swell tomorrow, generated by a good polar front projecting up and towards us from yesterday through today.

We should see good sets pulsing to 3ft+ into tomorrow afternoon, more likely 2-3ft early but conditions still look average with a strong S/SW breeze (linked to the frontal system), easing into the afternoon.

Wednesday looks cleaner with a NW tending variable breeze and easing S/SW from the 3ft range on the sets.

A weaker, secondary front looks to generate a reinforcing S/SW swell for Thursday to 2ft+ or so, easing Friday from 1-2ft.

Conditions will remain great with N'ly tending variable winds both Thursday and Friday, tiny and clean into the weekend.

As touched on last update, there's nothing too major on the cards for next week as the storm track remains focussed up towards Western Australia over the coming week and a half, but there are signs we may see some small SE swell from lows spawning off to our east. These are flukey swells sources at best, but more on this Wednesday.
