Recap
Poor, onshore surf and with no decent size.
This weekend and next week (Jun 12 – 18)
We'll see the surf easing back through tomorrow but conditions will remain poor with fading 1-2ft sets across Clifton in the morning, tiny into the afternoon and then for the rest of the weekend and next week in all honesty.
Winds are unfortunately looking more onshore than variable now with a pre-dawn variable breeze due to freshen from the S/SW before first light, strengthening thereafter as the low linked to this poor weather and wind lingers to our east.
It'll still be influencing us Sunday with moderate to fresh SW breezes, light W/NW Monday morning but with no swell.
Next week looks tiny to flat, with a tiny, inconsistent W/SW groundswell due to move in Wednesday. The source of this swell is a distant and poorly positioned frontal progression and we'll see it hardly generating much over 1-1.5ft and with long waits between sets.
Conditions will be good though with a N'ly tending variable breeze.
Later in the week, a slightly better W/SW groundswell is due across the state, but a trough linked to the polar low generating the swell looks to bring strong onshore S'ly winds into Friday when the swell will build.
We'll take a closer look at this on Monday though. Have a great weekend!
