This week and weekend (Feb 2 - 8)
Our current spike in W/SW swell should be on the ease and we'll see it fading tomorrow and becoming tiny, but clean and fun for beginners.
Sunday is expected to be tiny to flat but nice and clean again.
Our W/SW swell into early-mid next week has been downgraded slightly with the strong front moving in from the west over the weekend now looking weaker.
A fetch of strong to near gale-force W/SW winds will be projected through our western swell window, producing a small mid-period W/SW swell for later Tuesday and more so Wednesday morning.
Size wise we're looking at small 2ft waves developing later Tuesday and easing Wednesday morning, while before this we may see a very inconsistent signal of W/SW groundswell to 1-2ft.
Conditions on Monday look average with the passing front and SW breezes, more variable Tuesday morning, but best Wednesday and from the N tending fresh N/NE favouring spots away from Clifton.
Following this there's nothing significant on the cards until next weekend when we may see a strong polar front firing up and over us, but more on this Monday. Have a great weekend!
