This weekend and next week (Dec 11 - 16)
Unfortunately the outlook is still void of any major swell energy. Our best hope for a wave is Thursday morning, when a very inconsistent long-range W/SW groundswell is due to fill in.
This was generated by a strong but distant low between Heard Island and WA over the weekend, with surf mostly to 1-1.5ft expected, if not for the rare 2fter Thursday morning, easing through the day.
Winds look OK early and from the NW, but will swing E/NE and then SE through the day, so aim for the early.
Into the weekend there's still nothing significant due, but a broad and stalling inland low across south-east Australia is expected to drift south-southeast and weaken, bringing an onshore S'ly change next Monday and weak small increase in S'ly windswell.
This is the only source of swell, so for more options check the East Coast Forecaster Notes when updated.
