This week and weekend (Dec 4 - 9)
Today's swell was generated by a strong low over the weekend, with a peak expected this morning.
We should see the swell ease into tomorrow, but a secondary front pushing through this afternoon and evening should generate an additional mid-period W/SW swell, keeping 2-3ft sets hitting Clifton early tomorrow, easing through the day and back from 1ft to maybe 2ft Wednesday.
Winds will be dicey tomorrow and out of the W, possibly tending W/NW at periods before swinging back to the W/SW mid-morning, while Wednesday looks better with a W/NW offshore ahead of SE sea breezes.
From here unfortunately there's nothing significant on the cards for the rest of the period with the storm track sitting too north and far away out of our swell window (west and south-west of WA).
Therefore make the most of the coming days of waves.
